Chu vraiment déçue se restaurant tellement bon...il faisait tellement froid le 27 décembre toute lea clients serait de mon avis..car le système de chauffage.ne marchait pas...je peux comprendre..mais sérieux..offeret a vos clients un minimum...genre un rabais???

Malheureusement nous n'avons pas passé une soirée agréable. La nourriture était très bonne, je dois dire. Cependant, il y avait un bris de chauffage & c'était très froid à l'intérieur . Malheureusement, nous n'avons pas été avisé de la situation. Je comprend qu'un bris de chauffage est hors de contrôle. Cependant, quand on mange avec notre foulard &/ ou notre manteau parce qu'il fait -15 dehors, je trouve que ce n'est pas acceptable & que du moins j'aurais aimé être informée pour possiblement aller ailleurs. Les plats arrivaient chauds, mais rapidement ils se refroidissaient. Pour une facture qui oscille à environ 80$ par personne je pense que ce serait le minimum que d'aviser la clientèle ou d'offrir une compensation.

This place deserves a Michelin star. Food was amazing & creative. I gave service 4 but would actually give somewhere between 4-5 just do to inconsistent timing. Most of the night was perfectly timed though.

Endroit sympathique. La cuisine aire ouverte donne un charme à l'endroit. Les plats style tapas sont peu copieux, le saumon fumé etait très salé, la salade de chou-fleur etait très acide mais le ribsteak marocain & le thon Sauté étaient excellent. Bon service sans plus & la musique etait très forte au point de demander de la baisser. Overall j'y retournerai pour l'apéro.

We were kind of disappointed with the overall experience at the Main Kitchen. We had heard so much about the great food & service. Our order got mix up. So our tapas were served at different times. They served an entree without telling us what it was .,. It looked like a complementary bread with the usual oil & balsamic, to find out later on that it was the bone marrow butter. When we received our bill the terminal offered an 18% tip to start. That did not sit well with us. We thought it was distasteful to expect an 18%=as a minimum.The fact is we have family that also works in that business so we are very aware the effort it takes to offer a great experience & we almost always add a 20% gratuity. Unfortunately it was not a good experience.

Je n'y suis allé qu'une fois alors peut-être que mon expérience ne reflète pas leur service habituel. Il ne semblait n'y avoir qu'une serveuse pour le restaurant pour un vendredi soir. Elle ne nous a jamais sourit & elle a fait une erreur dans notre commande & aucun accommodement n'était possible. Nous avons vraiment sentie que nous dérangions. Toutefois, la nourriture était absolument fantastique! Frais, plats originaux, bonnes cuissons c'était délicieux!! J'y retournerai en baissant mes attentes pour le service. Définitivement 2 plats par personne est amplement suffisant les portions sont généreuses!

Loved our first experience at Main Kitchen. My husband was celebrating his birthday so we wanted to go somewhere different. The food was outstanding! Kim our server was helpful & courteous, she sings a wonderful happy birthday. Kudos to all we will be back!

We were a group of 8 people & some of us didn't get there on time. So the server asked us to place an order, while not everybody was present, because we only had 2 hours reserved for our table. When we reserved our table, we were already made aware that we had only 2 hours so it was not necessary to remind us again about that. It caused unnecessary pressure for our group to eat quickly. We were asked to pay while having our desserts. Overall, we didn't get to enjoy the meals properly.
The food is very good, a bit on the pricey end. I got the Moroccan Stew, & I absolutely loved it. But, the food is not worth price.

Tapas style with byow. Several dishes got our attention so will need to go back to try more plates. Music was a bit loud. Got a drink before in the by side bar.

The Main Kitchen in Hudson is hands down one of our favorites. The food is always fresh & delicious, & you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Sitting at the bar is the best-the vibe is great, & the staff is super friendly & attentive. I am Gluten free & they're palways accommodating. BYOW is a huge plus! Highly recommend!

I was excited to eat here after looking at the menu & reviews. Upon entering the restaurant I felt disappointed. We waited in front with no one to greet us. My friend had to wave someone over to be seated as we had reservations. The staff was off. Not friendly or accommodating. The restaurant is very open to you bringing your own wine. We did. The manager opened our wine & put it on the table. Didn't pour it. She was so rude.
The food was uneven to say it best. We ordered the specials: Paella & short ribs. The ribs were good, but the $42 Paella was awful. The ingredients were top notch but soaked in salty clam juice. The sausage, octopus, & mussels all tasted like salty clam juice-as well as the rice.
Overall I give the service a 2 ambiance a 4 & the attitude & food a zero. Overpriced & underwhelming.

I was at the New Year's supper at 7:00 pm. I gave them the opportunity to serve me once again after the experience from one of the servers that demanded more money for a tip on my last reservation mid October 2024 ( you can read below the Manager's reply ). Unfortunately, she was present New Years dinner as well as the same server from October & they both are part of my complaint. Unfortunately, this supper experience was the worst. The food was excellent, however the service was inexistant. The two servers never ackowledged us after the girl front the front reception seated us. We arrived & were seated at 7:00 pm. None of the two waitresses ever came to acknowledge our presence. Everyone that arrived & seated after us were greeted, explained the menu & served food. We never had any servers come to see us. It took the head Chef Jay Dreger that was in charge of the appetiser station to notice we were waiting over 35 minutes without any service at all. He came over to our table asking us if we had our appetisers from his station. We had to tell him that nobody had ever came to see us since we were seated & still waiting for anyone to come to explain the menu & bring us the appetisers. Everyone was served the appetisers ( first course on the menu )… Jay had to complain twice to the waitress why we were not served after 35 minutes. Appetiser came 10 minutes later. They were just deposited on the table without any words nor apologies for ignoring us from the waitress. Second course came around 8:15. Third course came around 8:45 & dessert at 9:15. Nobody ever came to explain the menu, apologize for the delays, or anything. It was as if we did not even exist seated at one of your tables situated along the wall near the server's access to the kitchen counter. They both passed all night seing us waiting to be acknowledged. After being served the dessert, we left without anyone of the staff ever ackowledging our presence. I am extremely disapointed that we had to prepay a 18% service charge onna $129 per person meal for NOT having any service at all. Two waitresses on duty ( including the general manager ) both ignored us as customers. I have no words for being treated so badly ( rudely ). ---- Reply from last October: Hi Michel, We would like to sincerely apologize for your recent experience at Main Kitchen this past Wednesday. There are many moving parts to running a successful restaurant, & unfortunately, in some cases, no amount of training can prevent what transpired. We do not condone the server's actions & therefore we immediately addressed the incident once it was brought to our attention. We recognize that you have been a loyal customer to us, & we appreciate your continued support. We hope you will allow us the opportunity to serve you again. Tonight, I left a tip of $15.00 on a $130.00 bill before tax. I wanted to leave a $18.00 tip but made a mistake on the terminal & could not make a correction. The waitress came to me as I was leaving asking if I was unhappy with the service. I guess she expected a minimum tip of $23,00 on the total bill with government tax. I pay normally 15% tip before tax which is what is fair. I found this insulting to ask for more money. Restaurant just lost a loyal faithful returning customer on this insultting gesture.

My wife & I have been loyal patrons of The Main Kitchen in Hudson for many years, even hosting her 50th birthday celebration there nine years ago. We've always appreciated the great experiences & warm atmosphere the restaurant offered. Unfortunately, during our visit last night & the last, we found the ambiance had changed significantly. The noise level was so high that it was nearly impossible to carry on a conversation with our friends, & the dining area was uncomfortably cold, even with the blankets provided. While we understand that restaurants evolve, these changes have taken away from what made The Main Kitchen so special to us. We hope management takes this feedback into account to bring back the comfort & charm we used to love about this place.
