I wanted to have all the noodles on menu but of course I couldn't so let be realistic I ordered boat noodles as this dish is not easy to find in general. Turned out it didn't let me down, good portion, hot & tasty. Even better when they provided some extra seasoning to add at your soup ( if you like it more spicy or sweeter ). The place has indoor & outdoor area. Staff are friendly, I will go there again to try other dishes. Forgot to mention I also ordered take away rice with pork belly basil & it was wonderful too.View more
The fried hainan chicken combo is incredible. You get friend chicken with dipping sauce, rice & an incredible broth to pair with the rice, a complete & perfect meal all for $20. My only complaint is that looking at the menu in July 2025, they seem to only have the steamed chicken as an option. That they don't have a fried chicken option anymore makes me sad.View more
Don't come here for the Hainan Chiken Steamed Rice! It doesn't deserve $20 at all.
The chicken is too little, with enough rice to make you feel full. The making of chicken is also not classic enough.View more
That is the most authentic Thai food I have ever experienced in Quebec. As a person who had lived in Thai,I can say Pad Kra Pao is my favourite all time of this place💕💕& the papaya salad is exactly the same taste. But rice is sometimes undercooked in khao Man Gai steamed chicken. But overall is great 👍View more
An excellent service, amazing tasty food, very reasonable pricing. The seasonal fruit with sticky coconut rice is a must tryView more
Great Thai place if you're in the area! I especially love the mango sticky riceView more
The soup warms your body & tastes great. The only thing missing to enjoy it more is a soup spoon. Using a regular spoon for soups isn't an enjoyable experience. The rice was soft & perfectly cooked. The chicken was also soft & succulent. Cutting it with the spoon was really easy.View more
Cozy little room with beautiful mood lighting. Attentive service. The food is outstanding, incredible depth of flavour, perfectly sized portions. Interesting presentation; the meats in most rice dishes are chopped, which allows balance when eating all elements on the plate. One of my favourite restaurants anywhere.View more
I'm always very skeptical trying Thai food in North America due to it being inauthentic to the real deal. . I ordered chicken rice & my friend ordered chicken noodle soup & we got two drinks. I've had much experience of Southeast Asian food & as soon as I walked into the restaurant as I smelt the aroma inside the restaurant, it was very nostalgic & it was very authentic. I could tell immediately that the food probably is very close to being as authentic as & good as it can be. The chicken rice was really good & the soup was amazing. My friend's chicken noodle soup was also very authentic. It was very comforting to have food like this in the winter. I really regret not trying that tom yum soup I will try it when I return. The reason why I'm giving four stars . the major downside to this are the drinks are absolutely horrendous & taste horrible. The drinks itself are traditional drinks that you would find in Thailand or Southeast Asia but I don't know what sugar they use because it tastes very very artificial. The artificial sweeteners or whatever they use completely make the drink inedible & disgusting. Me & my friend did not even finish half of the drink & we just left it. We will return to the shop in the future.View more
I was hoping to get some mango sticky rice but it was out of season. Otherwise I think it's a fair meal to grab food with friends.View more
Inconsistent food quality is the biggest letdown here. Some days, the dishes are tasty & great value, representing a very accessible Thai food experience. Other days, the portioning is stingy & the food is mediocre, with heavy MSG flavors more noticeable than the ingredients themselves. As a specific example, on a good day (30% of the time), the Hainan steamed chicken rice is a spectacular dish, where the rice is aromatic with chicken oils & herbs, & the chicken is juicy but not fatty. On a bad day, the chicken is flavorless & rubbery, the rice tastes bland with too much herb & too little chicken oils, & the dish leaves much to be desired. I am a regular, & unfortunately it seems the consistency is worsening. Back in the day (3-5 years ago), I would have given 5 stars.View more
The food was really good. We tried their Pad Thai with chicken & prawns, Thai Milk tea, Hainan fried chicken with rice & their chicken balls appetizer. Would definitely recommend !View more
The food was overall really good. The steamed Hainan chicken & rice was excellent. We enjoyed the sticky rice dessert as well. Papaya salad was average, but the soups were interesting. The staff were really friendly & attentive. Had i been able to, would give the restaurant 4.5/5. One thing that brings it down is having to order up front & pay first. I get it, utilitarian, but it seems like a nice restaurant, so having to do a food court/canteen style seems off. However, they do bring the food.View more
I was really looking forward to the food here but unfortunately I wasn't satisfied with my experience. I started my meal with the vegé fried rolls which were decent but the sweet sauce (honey based) it came with stood out more than the actual rolls. For the mains, I got the vegan pad thai & the vegan pad see ew & both were overly sweet & had no spiciness to them. It just didn't taste authentic to me, it felt more like a North American take on Thai food. I was also surprised by the small portions, & the amount of tofu I got (I counted 6 small pieces in total for the pad see ew). I ended off the meal with two desserts; Mango sticky rice & tapioca pudding. The mangos from the sticky rice dish were bland & the sticky rice itself wasn't fresh, it felt like it was sitting out for long. However I really enjoyed the tapioca pudding, the pandan & the coconut cream were delicious. I think there's room for improvement so I hope for the best. Take careView more
What a special spot for authentic Thai style cusine!!! They have a wide-range of snacks, noodle soup, stir-fried noodles/rice, as well as veg options. We are all amazed by the rich flavour of their noodle soup, as well as pad thai. The ingredients are so fresh & unique. This is a definitely come-back-again place for our next teip to Montreal. Also great & friendly services from the lovely staffs, thank you for looking after our table of eleven hungry food hunters!View more
Beautiful little place. Loved their pad thai noodles, iced coffee was also good. Poulet frit thai Hainan was not good. The rice was very dry. Quantity of food per plate was perfect for a person, cannot be shared.View more
The best Tom Yum outside Thailand, Mango Sticky Rice - good, but not perfect, other dishes - a lottery. Very slow & unintuitive service. Better order everything at once, reordering is a hustle.View more
