This franchise is a total disgrace to the Madison Brand & completely discredits the welcoming for ALL experience which it promotes .. I've been to numerous locations in Montreal & I have never had such a distasteful & humiliating experience as i did at this location on st Martin:l'avenir today.
MTY GROUP needs to enforce stricter ,professional & probably even psychological screening protocols before giving ownership rights to people who are clearly not fit for management in the hospitality industry.

Today my family & I gathered for my cousins baby shower. Where we were about 30 guests including children as young as 2 years old. While we enjoyed our first course , & preparing to open gifts , the manager rudely interrupts the hosts speech to advise us that since as one of our guests has complained about receiving a dirty plated & feared that her food might be contaminated due to the horrible taste that WE were basically not welcome to stay, could not finish our meals or the celebration at the restaurant since he felt that WE were all not satisfied with the service on the complaints of 1 person.. He then arrogantly offers the host a refund in front of EVERYONE , told us he cancelled our main course , that we needed to leave right away & gave us this bs speech about his social involvement in the black community What does that have to do with your dirty plates & contaminated tartare sauce
Appalled by his disrespect & in order to diffuse the situation or inflict any stress on the 8 1/2 month mom-to-be the host pulls the manager to the side demanding an apology for such poor behaviour & for humiliating her in front of her guests. He then expresses how he took her review personally or in his words " I feel like a pc of shit because she wasn't satisfied with the food & that he had given her a dirty plate".
Personally this man seemed completely unstable & way too emotional & was literally 2 secs from crying but definitely not fit for management. Logically the solution was probably to give her a clean plate & an alternate choice for an appetizer.

To make matters even worse, the guest who had complained was then followed by the owner of the restaurants wife all the way inside the bathroom stall, charging in calling her a bitch because of the bad review. It escalated from there & as we lost our appetite we decided to leave.

THIS PLACE IS COMPLETELY UNSTABLE , UNPROFESSIONAL & STAFF HAS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR & DEFINITELY NOT A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL ETHNICITIES!

SAVE YOURSELF THE TRIP, THE MONEY & THE HUMILIATION & DRIVE TO THE MADISON IN CHOMEDY!

PS DONT BE FOOLED STAFF MEMBERS ARE NOW POSTING RECOMMENDATIONS & WRITING POSITIVE REVIEWS TO DEFLECT TODAYS INCIDENTS

Quick recap on this whole incident. Was in the bar being served while I heard the entire incident. Come here often. They even remember my name and my wife's which is very pleasant and makes us feel welcome. As I was heading to the washrooms noticed a men showing the owner the plate which was dirty and acted in complete immaturity instead of being polite to the owner. Took my time read ur reviews on Facebook and must I say not all false but the police being called because u not paying was the reason... ur entire group marched down like a riot and scared me and my wife. The police were called in regards of aggressiveness not the paying. Pulling the race card also u are all disgusting and should rethink. This is 2019. And a business like Madison's or any of they matter would not act on skin colour. Have urself a lovely day and write a true story instead of trying to make urs sound better. There are witnesses also

So tell me... do you work in the kitchen or behind the bar?Cause you seem to be just as ignorant as they are. Poor you and your wife being scared of the big black riot. Boo fkn hooo... No1 cares of how fond the owners are of you and your wife nor that they know your name. I've never played the race card my entire life becuase ive never been subjected to such inhumane behaviour! So quick to defend your own.... were you there when the manager asked us to leave during our meal and during the hosts speech tp the mom to be ? Without even making the host aware of the complaint??? I bet not.. were you there when the manger played the race card and tried to use that as an excuse for his shitty management and unprofessional behaviour??? I bet not..... Were there when the owner charged into one of our guests bathroom and called her a fkn bitch in front of a 2 year old child????? I bet not... or were you there when the father to be was actually diffusing the situation with the owner and the bus boy charged at him for no reason and had to be removed by the owner who immediately apologied?? of course not becasue God Willing if someone as ignorant as you are would ever see anything else but a riot of black people, rather than REFER to us as a party of 3o ppl clearly infuriated for being mistreated. so if you can stand here tallk to me about 2019 and the race card you are clearly just as uneducated as they are living in "2019" . and Since youre so quick to speak out of your ass the OWNER is the one who told us he called the police in fear we not pay our bill after the waitress burst into tears.. BUT ITS ONLY NATURAL THAT YOU WOULD GO TO THESE PLACES AND THAT THEY WOULD KNOW YOUR NAME HOW CAN WE EXPECT SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE. ITS ACTUALLLY UNFORTUNATE FOR ME THAT I HAD TO SUBJECT MYSELF TO THIS HUMILIATION FOR A 20$ MEAL SERVED ON A DIRTY PLATE WHERE I COULDVE EASILY BEEN SERVED A 75$ DOLLAR A STEAK ON SILVER PLATTER. BUT THANK YOU FOR WITNESSING THE PLATE WAS IN FACT DIRTY AND THAT YOU AND YOUR WIFE DONT SEE A PROBLEM EATING OUT OF A DIRTY PLATE AND EATING CONTAMINATED TARTAR AT THE COURTESY OF THE OWNERS THAT YOU LOVE SO DEARLY. SO YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT TRUTH & WITNESSES EVERYTHING IS ON VIDEO so stand DOWN with your bs reply!!

Horrible service restaurant was nearly empty & had a hard time finding seating the hostess then gave our seats to "regulars" the waiter waa great however there food is subpar do not recommend this place will be the last time I eat here overall poor customer experience at the beginning. Made it hard to enjoy the rest of the night

Quelle horrible expérience culinaire... & les prix payés sont largement exagérés pour cette piètre qualité!

Madison's fait déshonneur aux bons Steakhouses.

Voici ma commande :

- Gin (Bombay) Martini extorqué à 13$ (avant taxes). C'est mon très plus dispendieux à date dans un restaurant. (Dilué dans de l'eau & ne respectait pas les onces d'alcool minimums requis).
Comparaison ailleurs (avant taxes) pour du vrai comme selon la recette:
10.50$ (Keg Steakhouse);
11$ (Bâton Rouge);
12$ (Table 51);
11$ (Sterlings Steakhouse);
12$ (Lucca... un top resto italien dans la Petite-Italie, Montréal)
& ca continue...
... mais 13$ chez Madison's pour du dilué !

- Chaudrée de palourdes Madison's: Une masse de patate en cube (pour bourrer j'imagine) avec de minuscules morceaux de palourdes à peine perceptibles dans une épaisse chaudrée crémeuse farinée à l'excès. J'en ai mangé le quart. Pas mangeable !

- Côte de boeuf au jus 10 on. (cuisson rosée), une queue de homard, frites.
(Boeuf: Cuisson respectée, Aucune tendreté puisque très (très) difficile à mâcher (la pire Côte de boeuf au jus que j'ai mangé à date).
Queue de homard (+14$): Trop cuite & caoutchouteuse (très désagréable). Beurre à l'ail infecte.
Frites: Cuisson parfaitement dorée & croustillante... mais servies trop tièdes).

- Il y a ma demi bouteille Georges Duboeuf Brouilly chèrement payée à 34$ qui était parfaite. Y'avait au moins ca de bon !

Le service a été très correct, compréhensible & désolé pour moi.

Pensez-vous que j'y retournerai... même pour un verre d'eau ?

PS: D'après le serveur, ca semble être la norme dans tous les Madison's.

NOTE PERSONNELLE: Y'a rien de plus facile que de trouver des tellement meilleurs Steakhouses ailleurs. À vous d'y voir ! Madison's n'a rien de tel !
