Si vous ne devez faire qu'une poutine à Montréal, ça doit être celle de ma Poule Mouillée. La queue devant le restaurant en dit long sur la réputation (non usurpée) de l'établissement. La poutine poulet/chorizo est vraiment excellente. Les prix sont très corrects & les quantités Énormes... une grande assiette pour deux est largement suffisante. Les plaisirs sucrés sont également tops avec quelques desserts typiquement portugais (& oui le chef est portugais !) comme les fameuses pasteis de nata.View more

I love Portuguese chicken & I love poutine, safe to say I loved the #8 chicken & sausage poutine here. It was a long wait even when we didn't start waiting outside, so be prepared. However, their poutine is my personal favourite in the city & well worth the wait.
The fries are potatoey, thick, but still crispy, the cheese curds are classic & squeaky, gravy reminded me of the flavourful sauce of a Portuguese francesinha, & the chicken & sausages were juicy & flavourful with spices & flame grilled essence. Great value as well.View more

Used to love this place. But the last visit last week, I found the prices went up, the food felt more greasy leaving me feeling sick after, & the time to wait for takeaway was crazy. There were probably 15 people in front of me, & no joke, we waited 35 minutes get our food. Large poutine didn't come with spicy sauce like it used to. Disappointed & won't likely return for another while.View more

Their chicken & chouriço poutine is crazy good. The large portion is perfect for 2-3 people. It can get pretty hot indoors with all the grilling - highly recommend taking your meal to La Fontaine park for a picnic on a nice day!View more

Their loaded poutine with their Portuguese chicken & chorizo is out of this world (& I am normally a poutine purest who doesn't like anything but a classic poutine). Their chicken plates are also delicious & their desserts hit the spot. Prices are extremely reasonable in a 2025 context.View more

The poutine here looks great at first glance, but unfortunately, it really lacked flavor. It felt like it was missing some key ingredients to bring it all together. After finishing it, I was left feeling thirsty & unsatisfied. Honestly, you're better off heading across the street to Kawha - much better food & a way more satisfying experience.View more

I visited around 8:00 pm on a Saturday, so it was pretty busy, but the line moved quickly. It took about 10-15 minutes from getting in line to receiving my order. I got the iconic poutine & a pastel de nata.
Poutine: My god, everything about this poutine was amazing. It was like a sample of everything Ma Poule Mouillée has to offer. The fries were thick & crispy, though a lot did get soggy from the gravy. The gravy itself had amazing flavor. The chorizo was bomb. The curds had a great chew. But the best part was the chicken -- extremely tender & smoky, hands down, the best chicken I've ever had. With all those fries & meat & curds & the gravy, you'd think it'd be super salty, but it wasn't. I got a small & it was HUUUUUGE, it lasted a few meals for me.
Pastel de nata: Highly recommend getting one. You get a nice caramelized taste from the top of the custard. The custard itself had a rosy flavor too, & it was so thick & smooth. It was probably a few hours old, but it still had a crispy & flaky crust, & the bottom had a scorched flavor that was actually pretty tasty.View more

Ma poule mouillée était sur ma liste de restos à essayer depuis longtemps & j'ai enfin eu la chance d'y aller récemment. À mon arrivée j'étais très excitée d'essayer la poutine avec du poulet & chorizo. Il y avait une file à l'extérieur mais le service est rapide & le temps a passé vite. Les prix sont raisonnables parce que les portions sont énormes & incluent les taxes! Par contre, j'ai été déçue de ma poutine. Le poulet était super bon, tendre & pas sec du tout (mais il y avait des morceaux de cartilage). Par contre, j'ai trouvé que le chorizo était simplement ok & la sauce très bof. Le fromage était excellent. Je n'ai même pas réussi à manger la moitié de mon assiette avant de me sentir très pleine. Je ne reviendrai pas mais je suis contente d'avoir essayé ma poule mouillée!View more

Personnel vraiment adorable, souriant & chaleureux! Je suis arrivée hier au moment de la fermeture dans l'espoir de commander une poutine & un sandwich & ils ont été adorables! Très bel accueil, professionnels & gentils. En particulier le monsieur qui a préparé la poutine & le sandwich. Merci énormément à lui!
La dame à la caisse était également adorable.
