I love Portuguese chicken & I love poutine, safe to say I loved the #8 chicken & sausage poutine here. It was a long wait even when we didn't start waiting outside, so be prepared. However, their poutine is my personal favourite in the city & well worth the wait.
The fries are potatoey, thick, but still crispy, the cheese curds are classic & squeaky, gravy reminded me of the flavourful sauce of a Portuguese francesinha, & the chicken & sausages were juicy & flavourful with spices & flame grilled essence. Great value as well.View more
Hooooly this food was simply amazing. ENORMOUS portions for the prices. The chicken & chorizo are delicious. Staff is nice & the whole place just smells great. I'd recommend trying a Sumol too if you've never had one. This is a must-try Portuguese chicken in Mtl, absolutely delicious & unbeatable calorie to dollar ratio.View more
excellent Portuguese variation on poutine, & other Portuguese spiced rotisserie chicken options... seating is tightView more
Excellent taste. Had the small Portuguese poutine & egg tart. Portion was massive & the taste in both the chicken & the gravy itself has an excellent level of depth to it.View more
Their loaded poutine with their Portuguese chicken & chorizo is out of this world (& I am normally a poutine purest who doesn't like anything but a classic poutine). Their chicken plates are also delicious & their desserts hit the spot. Prices are extremely reasonable in a 2025 context.View more
Wow! Huge (too big) portions of just awesome Portuguese chicken for a very reasonable price.View more
Best portuguese chicken ever! Grilled on Charcoal in front of everyone, can't get fresher than that!View more

It is a great place to have Portuguese chicken & the chouriço & chicken poutine, don't miss out on the pasteis de nata. Great to go & delicious.View more
Our go to place for Portuguese chicken, chorizo or pasteis de nata. We've tried many different spots, & this is by far our favourite. Would highly recommend!View more
Ma Poule Mouillée is an absolute staple in Montreal for Portuguese chicken, & it never disappoints! The portions are generous, the flavors are amazing, & the prices are refreshingly reasonable-thank you for staying somewhat affordable in today's world. The place is quite small, so don't expect much seating. We opted for takeout, & it was perfect. One thing to keep in mind is that street parking can be limited at times, so plan accordingly. If you're craving some delicious Portuguese chicken with great value, Ma Poule Mouillée is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!View more
The moment I came inside to restaurant, the smell of the roasting of the chicken made me salivate. I didn't know what to choose because everything looks good. Someone suggested the #8, the Portuguese poutine. It's was delicious! The chicken with choriço, the cheese curds, & sauce were divine. I have to come back & try the rest.View more
Maybe the best chicken in Montreal, definitely the best Portuguese style chicken. Must try the chicken sandwich with salad & fries. Also the poutine is incredible topped with chicken & chorizo. If the weather is nice, take it to go & go eat in the park.View more
Leurs poutines portugaises au poulet sont les meilleures! Their Portuguese chicken poutines are the best!View more
Food was ok. I have had better Portuguese chicken.View more
Best Portuguese chicken in town! The food is always fresh, with generous portions at a great price. Their chicken is perfectly cooked, with options for spicy or mild to suit any taste. The chicken sandwiches are loaded with flavor, & the chorizo is smoky, juicy, & a must-try. The combos are a fantastic deal, & the chicken salad meals are fresh & filling. The poutine is absolutely delicious, especially with chicken, chorizo, or a mix of both-it's the perfect comfort food. This spot is always busy for a reason. Highly recommend for authentic & flavorful Portuguese dishes!View more
The place did serve us fast, although it's crammed in there. Keep in mind, portions are large. The Portuguese Chicken Poutines we ordered were decent, however very salty. I wasn't able to finish my small portion due to saltiness.View more
Amazing Poutine, the classical recipe with a Portuguese twistView more
Awesome! I ordered the salad with chicken & it was great 👍 The menu is on 3 different walls in English, French, & Portuguese sometimes hehe Staff is friendly & the service is fast & done with care. You can dine in; there are some tables & high chairs for the bar tables on the windows.View more
Portuguese chicken poutine was very good. Got a small. Portion sizes are good. I had ordered the chicken & chorizo poutine but didn't get any chorizo. Maybe lost in translation. Service is quick. Atmosphere is decent.View more
Great Portuguese chicken, roasted on skewers, fresh bread, & great fries. What else can you ask for when you want a good meal.View more
Recommended by Canadian friends, we tried this highly reputed Portuguese restaurant, & we were not disappointed by the excellent poutines & chicken sandwiches! The portions are generous, & the prices are reasonable. The salads are also of good quality. So, the quality/price/quantity ratio is unbeatable in the city. Expect a bit of a wait (30 minutes during lunchtime). There are few seats inside, but good weather allows for takeout & a meal at La Fontaine Park, which is just next door. I highly recommend it!View more
Located in the Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood of town, Ma Poulle Mouillée is a very popular, no-frills spot that's as famous for it's insanely long lines & wait times as it is for their succulent Portuguese style chicken. & while trying to get that aforementioned chicken can easily require standing in a line anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes, most loyalists would say that it's absolutely worth the trouble & I would agree. Jean-Jacques Rousseau once said "Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet" & boy was he right. The chicken coming out of this place is absolutely insane. It's full of flavor, it's moist & it is one of the bites of food I've had in a very long time. Depending on what you order, the contents of your box might change a bit but I recommend you get the "Le Tremblay" option for $16CAD which features some chicken breast, a ton of fries & a side salad of greens with shaved carrots in a delicious vinaigrette. Don't share, just chow down in shame. It's greasy, it's tasty & full of flavor. If you're super hungry (you must be American - hi!) you can get other, larger options: ones with chorizo or even befana & while the first is scrumptious, the befana was nothing to write home about & ordering it isn't something I'd do again. Honestly the Tremblay is plenty of food. Service wasn't particularly friendly or fast - but man, it just doesn't matter. Just get in line & you'll be rewarded with a Portuguese feast which shines some spotlight on a cultural piece of Montreal that few other places can showcase as well. A+View more
Best Portuguese chicken in town. Their poutine is also the best.View more
Consistently the best poutine in Montreal (if you're looking for the OG poutine + chicken & sausage). The sauce is excellent & plenty of cheese. Too bad they don't offer any funky poutines with plenty of extras. They also have some Portuguese desserts at checkout if you've never tried.View more
Thicccccccc boy portions & so worth it for the value. Shared it among 3 big growing manz & i wasn't stuffed by any means but def hit the spot. Portuguese chicken on top was juicy juicyyy yum yum. Although, chorizo with the poutine was kind of mid. Fries were freshhhh. First time I went here & I barely dented it when I ate it by myself so 100% should share with at least 1 other person. Will always hit it up anytime I'm back in MTL lezzzz goView more
So far this is the best Portuguese chicken & poutine I've tried in Mtl. The prices are great, especially considering the generous portions. Recommend 100%View more
