Cela fait 5 ans je viens de temps en temps pour un petit plaisir avec du poulet, une poutine & des pasteis de natas. Mais avec le temps je trouve que la qualité se degrade... ce soir les frites étaient très sèches & le chorizo froid. Je redonnerai certainement une chance mais de si tôt car j'ai même été un peu malade ce soir. Peut etre qu'ils pourraient augmenter un peu les prix pour maintenir la qualité.View more

C'est l'un des endroits les plus couru de Montréal mais à mesure que le temps passe, c'est à se demander pourquoi... J'y vais une fois par an & ça ne s'améliore pas. J'y suis allé aujourd'hui, c'était légèrement occupé pour un mardi après-midi. En arrivant j'ai été ignoré pendant plusieurs minutes par les employés qui semblaient avoir mieux à faire que de prendre une nouvelle commande. Pour vrai je ne sais pas ce qu'elle attendait au-delà de me regarder. La petite poutine (14$) était tiède. Le chorizo très froid. Je n'ai pas remarqué la sauce piquante que j'avais demandée (?). Le poulet était majoritairement gélatineux. C'était au mieux "ben ordinaire". Point positif, le pos de paiement ne demande pas de pourboire; ce qui semble à contre courant en 2024. Possiblement que les employés sont payés correctement, tant mieux. Bref, surtout si vous visitez Montréal, vous pouvez mourir en paix advenant que vous n'avez pas le temps de vous arrêter ici.View more

We got a small poutine & small flan au caramel. A lot of Portuguese chicken, chorizo & cheese curbs in the poutine, more than fries. Not easy to find parking in Plateau Mont-Royal so we ate at a nearby park. Small poutine is 13$. For 5$ more, you can get a large one which is twice the size but a small one is plenty for 2 persons. 3,50$ for the flan. Must try in Montreal. Forgot to take a picture before eating. Poutine was filled to the top.View more

We stopped by Ma Poule Mouillée for lunch during a day in Montreal. We ordered the #8 poutine dish & asked for it spicy (large order). Service was fairly quick & seating was available (offseason, after prime lunch hours). The dish was served in a tin container with a covered top so you can take it on the go if you wish. The serving size was more than enough for two people. The temperature of the food was okay. For it being prepared right there, I was expecting the food to be hotter than it was. It was just warm & the cheese wasn't all melted very much. The flavor of the chicken & chorizo in the gravy was great! I wish there had been more of it mixed in to the dish. Overall, it was good, but a few things could have made it much better! Still worth a try if you're in the area.View more

The poutine at Ma Poule Mouillée is one of the best I have ever had - starting with a perfect poutine as a base & adding Portuguese chicken & chorizo cooked over charcoal...can't go wrong. There is a LOT going on but it is a great balance of everything. At $14 the small is PLENTY of food for one person & an incredible value for the amount of meats they put on. I have also tried a few of their baked goods (natas, flan, croissant) & always been impressed.View more

J'avais des grandes attentes envers la poutine que l'on entend dire être dans les top 10 à Montréal. Je vous assure que le poulet, le chorizo & la sauce piquante le sont! La poutine était remplie de ce délectable poulet! Mais à ma grande déception, les frites étaient dures & sèches comme la dépouille de Mufasa dans le Roi Lion 1. Le fromage sans "squick squick" , absent d'âme. C'est comme regarder un film de Sylvester Stallone & avoir l'espoir que ça va être un succès. De plus, la poutine ordinaire (sans poulet, sans chorizo, avec sauce brune) était le même prix que celle remplie de viande, 18$! Peut-être qu'une révision de prix à la baisse serait équitable pour les non-carivores. J'ai adoré l'ambiance; un simple petit resto walk in sans service aux tables avec la vue sur la cuisine & le poulet qui cuit sur le charbon!View more

The only reason you'd go to La Banquise is if Ma Poule Mouillée is closed. Their Portuguese poutine will absolutely blow your mind. There is just nothing like it. It is absolutely LOADED with roasted chicken & chorizo. Fries & cheese are of course top class, & the sauce has a little twist that pairs so well with the rest. Do yourself a favour, skip the other subpar poutine places & go to Ma Poule Mouillée instead. You'll thank me later.View more

So delicious! We went here because I liked how the fries looked on the photos of the other reviews & were not disappointed. We ordered a large poutine with chicken & without chorizo to share. We finished it but could not have eaten more!
The fries were really good (not crispy though), the gravy was so flavourful & the chicken was tender & had a slight roast aroma to it. Loooove! The only thing we were missing was for the cheesecurds to melt.
The price for the size is very very fair!
& the line goes very fast in my opinion. I would say we ordered within 10 minutes with around 12 people in front of us & got our food after another 10 min.
P.S.: we also ordered the chicken sandwich, which is just chicken in a bun & nothing else. It was quite dry, BUT if you dip it in the gravy sauce of your poutine or add some cheese from the poutine, it is delicious!! :)View more
