Unfortunately my experience with the restaurant wasn't good.
I went there to celebrate my birthday with my wife after looking for an Italian restaurant.
When we ordered our plates, my wife asked the waitress if they had anything special for me since it was my birthday. Her exact words were: "You can choose a dessert". What we expected was that it would be a free dessert. But, for my surprise it wasn't.
After I asked her if the bill was correct, since it was charging for the dessert, she confirmed & handed me the machine to pay & stood stand looking how much tip I would give her. Very rude.
The plates presentation were very attractive but the taste didn't have anything special.
The atmosphere was nice. The food was good & the portions were generous. The salad bar was ok, not a lot of variety, but it does the job. I wish the service was better, there was no explanation on the menu, nothing about the all-you-can-eat salad bar. We even have to ask for our bread in the middle of the service. The waiting time was also long even if the place is almost empty around 4pm.
Excellente adresse pour un déjeuner ou dîner. Le service est impeccable avec beaucoup d’attention. Nous avons pris des plats basiques mais avec beaucoup goût. Je recommande vivement.
WOW!!!! insane fantastic call it has all the good tasting food items. Definitely viewers who search this up or hit up my views will definitely go check them out you will not be dissatisfied i can say that with my heart. What an amazing place & vibe it has, moving forward the design wise it's excellent & classic, old is gold, food wise & respectful service it's got it all. Anyway I fell in love with the lamp chops with a pesto like spaghetti, I am thinking about it as I am writting down my wonderful thoughts due this family operated business, bless you all & continue the greatest service & quality of food, until again �
Superb service, great decor, this will be one of my goto places in Montreal. This is a classic Italian restaurant that has been around for decades. Dark, masculine interior with sports photographs on the wall. Our server was a delight. Attentive, helpful, just lovely. The wine... Liano Sangiovese. Delicious. I picked up a bottle on the way home. Bread, perfect. We got the penne with salmon & the lobster fettuccini, both fantastic. Dinner comes with their salad bar; simple & fresh. Just when I thought it could not be better... maple, carrot cheesecake. It was literally a combination of carrot cake & cheese cake. I've been to hundreds of restaurants. This dessert is now in my top five. I can't wait to go back. Magnificent! Magnifico!
This resturant was everything I wanted for my first meal in Montreal after a long day of traveling! The service wasn't great but the food & the atmosphere of the building made up for it. Fun fact: Charles Dickens wrote "A Tale of Two Cities" in the back of this restaurant!
The linguini with prosciutto was amazing! Most pastas with cream/white sauce make you feel like you're good after a few bites, but this one kept me coming back for more
