Delicious food. Too bad the waitress is super unfriendly & not helpful at all.
Love love love this place.
Every one is so friendly
& the food is amazing.
This is my favourite breakfast place, it's so small & intimate, the food is delicious. It's cash only but they have an ATM
I really want to like this place, & in some way do. I like the dinner style, I feel like it's something lacking in Montreal. The price are fair & the portions can be good (depending on what you get).
The hard part in this review for me is the service. The cooks work so hard, & I truly appreciate that. Sometimes the wait can feel overwhelming. I've been here 4 times & the wait on 3 of the occasions were near an hour. & before you assume it was busy, it wasn't that busy. The waiters can just be slow.
Now, speaking of waiters, this is what made or break the experience for me. We had one lady serve us, she was the best. While on the other occasions, it felt like we were purposely being ignored & spoken with impatience.
I kind of recommend this place, but don't expect too much. I kinda like it, but the people I went with didn't.
The house smoked lox was excellent. It is served on a bagel & has large slices of tomato on each side which makes it a bit difficult to eat. I removed the tomato to make it easier to eat. Reasonable prices. Service is very slow
Great place for breakfast or lunch in NDG. Friendly staff, excellent food, super casual.

Today for the first time we tried this cafe. First off, there was one booth & we were discouraged from taking it. We're told since we were 2 we should eat outside or at the counter. I said that I didn't want to eat outside & I need the back support so reluctantly we were given the booth but told that I f a larger group arrived we would have to move. We were given menus & made our selection. The food took forever to arrive but we were able to chat while waiting. Imagine my surprise when the food arrived covered in hazelnuts. I have a severe allergy to nuts & no where on the menu did it mention them. It did have dill listed & as I am allergic to that as well I chose something simple (French toast). My companion's meal was smothered in nuts & syrup ( no one asked if we wanted it). Barely edible as it was mushy from the syrup. Needless to say, first & last visit.
