Great option for vegan/vegetarian food. This new outlet at Place des Arts is bigger than the one near McGill, & much less cramped. We got the papaya salad & tacos asado. Both were well done.
Went as 1 vegetarian & 3 meat eaters, everyone was really impressed with their food! Make sure you open the drawers at your table to read all the notes people have left. Such a unique & cute feature
Highly recommend the hemp burger, & the oyster mushrooms especially. The service was good, the location is convenient, & the atmosphere was really pretty. It is 3 floors with a foosball table on the top floo
As a Vegetarian, & my husband a Vegan, we are always looking for good food, & Lola Rosa came highly recommended.... it was ok. The food was ok, but not great. Nachos were good, but the lasagna & steak sandwich did not have a lot of taste.
Lola Rosa is a cozy & comfortable vegan restaurant with plenty of new vegetarian dishes to try. We visited this Valentine's Day, & it was the perfect experience! The nachos are very hearty-enough for two people that we couldn't even finish our main dishes after. Everything we tried was delicious, & the atmosphere is so welcoming. Definitely a great spot to enjoy a meal & try something new.
I am not even vegetarian & I love the food!! They also have great mocktails!! The ambience was great, especially if you're going to show at place des arts, they are right across the street!! Highly recommend & would def go back! Already wanting that burger again!
We had an excellent dinner here. We arrived at 5:30 without a reservation but luckily got the last table for 2. This is a popular spot.
A bottle of tap water was on the table, which I really appreciate.
I had the curry dish - very tasty, loved the lime sauce that was on the side. Served with a lovely warm pita & rice. I couldn't quite finish it.
My husband had the Hemp burger which he quite enjoyed. The fries were good.
Definitely enjoyed our meal & would return. We are not vegan or vegetarian, but try to eat plant based sometimes.
Our server checked on food allergies when taking our order which is appreciated.
The vegan proteins they have are quite tasty but this place falls down on the basics & is not consistent. Last meal we have here, I had the nachos, the toppings are great but the chips are quite stale, not made in house but brought in from outside. My husband order the cheesesteak sandwich. The'cheesesteak' part is quite good but he had to leave the bread (it was also very stale- rock hard) & only eat the cheesesteak with a fork & knife. A shame as we are fully vegetarian & always looking out for new restaurant options. The service is always friendly & it is a nice atmosphere but sometimes the meals are meh.
If you're not big on vegetarian food this is still the place to go. Burrito was really good, curry as well
