I was really looking forward to a great hotpot experience, just like the LiuYiShou in Edmonton with its amazing snack bar, sauce bar, & plenty of fresh, tasty side dishes. Unfortunately, this location was a huge disappointment.
The snack bar looked sad & unappetizing. All the fried items were hard & pale. Service was poor from the start; one server gave us a strange look when we walked in. We had to ask for basic soup spoons, which are essential for hotpot. We waited 20 minutes for our meat rolls, while other tables got theirs much earlier. The vegetables weren't fresh, & portions were tiny. A server even touched the meat on my plate while serving, which was unprofessional.
I ordered the tomato soup base, & it came covered in a thick layer of oil. Hotpot is literally my family's favourite food & we have it a lot at home too. I've never seen a single tomato soup base with this much oil… When I politely asked if it's possible to have some oil removed, the server gave me a weird look & flatly said no. They also added a mandatory tip at the end... I definitely prefer other hotpot locations, like Happy Lamb or Haidilao. Chinese hotpot can be so much better than this.
Excellent service & incredibly fresh food & drinks! Sarah was wonderful-so friendly & attentive. She's truly the best! If you're in Montreal & looking for authentic Chinese food, you must give this place a try

Amazing experience! The soup base was incredibly rich & flavorful, & the ingredients were super fresh. Definitely one of the best hotpots I've ever had. Highly recommend!
We came to eat with a little kid & are very happy with service by Mr Bohao, we didnt have to call anyone because service was near us at all times & been serving everything we asked within a minute. Food was delicious & super fresh!!! BIG 5 STARS!!!
Great spot & great service. They had a ton of veggies & a handful of tofu options. Best of all, they had two veggie broths (egg & dairy free). There is also a decent amount of condiments & sauces to choose from (which are included). The food was fresh & tasty. Compared to other hot pot restos, this one is a bit more pricier & it's not all you can eat. Great experience overall
The food here is delicious & very authentic. Everything was fresh & flavorful. Our waiter, Bohao, was especially attentive & friendly. He made the experience even better with his great service. Highly recommend Liu Yishou Hot Pot for a wonderful dining experience!

Highly recommend this place! Food was so good, meat was amazing & the veggies were so fresh. Viki was our server & we loved her. She was super friendly & always more then happy to answer our many questions & provide recommendations. One of the members in my party is a pescatarian, & Viki made sure to go over all the broth options available for them along with having a separate set of utensils that were marked to make sure everyone could enjoy the food. Great night, great food, great service.
The food is great, their prices are affordable & the ingredients are fresh, the meats were especially nice. Love that you can customize how spicy the broth is. However the service wasn't great. They're friendly & polite, but really slow to come speak to you. The food comes out fast, but we waited a long time to place an order, then almost an hour for the bill.
It was a great hot pot place! The broth was excellent & the service was awesome. Our server Vixi was very attentive & helpful! The price is well worth what we got, the meat & veggies are fresh & of good quality. Their watermelon juice is to die for on a hot summer day.
Had dinner at Liuyishou Hotpot Montreal & honestly, it hit the spot. The broth was super flavourful (we got the chicken coconut one, mushroom & beef bone), & there were so many options to cook - fresh veggies, thinly sliced meats, seafood, you name it. I loved the sauce station too & especially the homemade sauce for the coconut chicken broth you can mix & match however you like, which made it feel really personal. The also have homemade noodles & udon! The vibe was cozy, the staff were kind, & it's a great place to go with friends when you want to linger over a meal. Would definitely go back!

Came here with my friends & greatly enjoyed our experience here!! Had Vixi serve us & she was so friendly & helpful. It feels clean & the ingredients are so fresh :) We got the tomato & laksa broths & they were delicious. I also recommend the yuzu pitcher!!
Liu Yi Shou Hotpot was really nice Everything was clean & well-organized, & the ingredients were super fresh. the meat & veggies cooked quickly in the broth. It was a chill & relaxing dinner - perfect for a casual night out. I'd totally come back again!

I had a great time at Liu Yi Shou Hotpot. The food was fresh, the soup base was super tasty, & there were lots of options to choose from. I especially liked the spicy broth - not too overwhelming but really flavorful. The staff were friendly & helpful, & the vibe was cozy & fun. Definitely a good spot to hang out with friends & enjoy a nice hotpot meal.
Yesterday was our second time & it was better than the first. They've got an ice cream machine now that serves soft serve ice cream. This place is popular so waiting is sometimes inevitable but they have incentives for people who wait. If you wait for this much time you get two free sodas, that much time you get another freebie & if I remember correctly if you wait over an hour you get a certain percentage off of your bill. Good promos overall, I got two for one Tsingtao. The food is fresh & clean, zero complaints. The sauces at the sauce bar were fresh (other hot pot places look like they haven't replaced the sauces in days) & the bar itself was clean. Our waiter, Z, was an absolute pleasure. He's so attentive & accessible. Never left us hanging for help. Solid dude! This is my go to for hot pot from now on.
I honestly have nothing bad to say! Our service was great with our waiter Li explaining the menu to us in depth, & the food was fresh & absolutely delicious! Overall an amazing all you can eat hotpot/fondue spot downtown with pretty competitive pricing.
Had such a great time at Liuyishou! The broths were super tasty, & all the ingredients were so fresh. It's always fun cooking everything right at the table. Our waitress, Vixi, was awesome-so friendly & helpful! She gave us great tips & made sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, the food & service were both amazing. Can't wait to come back!
