I've been there many times. But it seems the overall experience is less pleasant. My wife wanted a dessert, only reason we booked this place. But they run out of it, on a Saturday at 9pm. Also, portions are smaller & prices higher. & service was just ok when it used to be very good. A disappointment.
Les -: N'aie pas d'allergies alimentaires ou ne soient pas végétalien. Tu ne mangeras pas ou peu. Pas de dessert. Très bruyant au souper. Heure de pointe Réservation si tu veux ne pas attendre. Pas de lait végétal pour café Les +: Amazing carte des vins & délicieux mocktail. Serveurs, bussboy excellents amazing Café espresso délicieux Si tu es intolérant au lactose ils vont t'accommoder avec le canard & légumes. Ambiance finale: vrmt cozy semi chic de tout

This is a spectacular French restaurant. My friend & I took a day trip to Montreal & found this place on google. We walked in without a reservation & the maître d' was kind enough to seat us as long as we'd be finished by his next reservation. The service was excellent. Since we had to drive back to The States after our visit, the waitress recommended a half bottle of Chardonnay, which was very good. We shared the arancini & bone marrow to start. For our entrees, I had the hanger steak with mashed potatoes & my friend had the duck confit. All of the was delicious & perfectly cooked. The ambiance here is excellent as well. I'd highly recommend coming here if you're going to be in Montreal.
J'y suis allée avec mon mari pour célébrer notre anniversaire. Les rillettes sont délicieuses, l'onglet de boeuf aussi, la cuisson était parfaite. La tartelette au citron & la crème brûlée étaient parfaites pour terminer le repas. Le service est attentionnée du début à la fin.

The highlight of my late night dinner was the endive blue cheese nut salad. Best salad enjoyed in my life Thé tartare that followed was another hole in one & the dark chocolate tart always my go to . Took me a while to fall asleep after . But that's ok I drank 2 boréale & a glass of red . Excellent service
J'y suis retournée après une dizaine d'années pour y déguster les délicieux os à moelle ou les classiques rognons de veau. & retrouver l'ambiance sympathique où l'on aimait casser la croute entre amis Déçue par le service, les os a moelle mal apprêtés , une soupe sans goût, des bruits de vaisselle insoutenables ou presque. Non je n'y retournerai plus. Ni dans 10 ans , ni jamais. Mes copains non plus. Trop cher pour la qualité L'Express n'est plus ce qu'il était. Françoise 7/3/2024
The service here is so thoughtful, from pouring a taste of wine for both me & my husband to serving the perfect amount of bread with their rillettes so that we didn't have to ask for more but didn't waste anything, timing everything perfectly & being very kind during the reservation process. Also have never eaten anything here that wasn't delicious. Never fails every time! Thanks for making our anniversary dinner a special one!
J'ai été enchanté par l'expérience offerte par cet établissement culinaire d'exception. Le service s'est révélé empreint d'élégance & l'atmosphère déployée était d'une grande convivialité. Cette trouvaille remarquable s'est distinguée par la présentation soignée de ses mets exquis. Un lieu idéal pour savourer un dîner raffiné en compagnie d'amis ou de famille, ou bien pour une rencontre des plus mémorables.

My quail was undercooked with visible traces of blood near the bone, server acknowledged it & nothing to be done. Service was very slow but dessert was good
Local favorite, not surprise. Food: outstanding Service: great Ambiance, great Drink list can be overwhelming but asking servers for recommendation didn't disappoint me. Classic French.
The steak frites was perfect & the dessert a fever dream: the eye-catching île flottante is so satisfying to break open & probably best shared between at least three people...
