It's truly impossible to have a bad experience here. The chefs & staff are clearly passionate & in their element, creating an atmosphere that feels both professional & welcoming. Sitting at the bar offers a front-row seat to the culinary action-a bonus experience in itself.
The owners are consistently warm & attentive, ensuring that both the food & overall experience are top-notch.

Big shoutout to Hilary with her knowledge of the menu along with her friendly relaxed vibe. Another shoutout to our friend Erick for bringing us out of towners to Les Street Monkeys for dinner on Saturday night. From the papaya salad, to the cod in amok sauce, savoury grilled beef & chicken skewers & lamb chops. An interesting take on the bone marrow with the palate cleansing broth. All of it was so good! Wish we had room for the pork belly & the stuffed chicken wings! Delicious cocktails to wash it all down. Highly recommend eating here! Also, we were told about a pop-up collab that Chef Tota of Les Street Monkeys is doing with DaiLo in Toronto, so I'm hoping to make it out there!Voir plus
Does Drop Dead Divine sound good to you? If so you should head to Les Street Monkeys now. Outstanding Umami cuisine from Chef Tota & his ultra efficient & friendly team. Started with the eggplant dish (Nhoam D'Aubergine) which wowed my longtime foodie friend who couldn't believe her taste buds. Other dishes were the'fried' cod with Amok sauce, which was the best fried cod dish I ever have eaten. So light it's hard to believe it's fried (thanks in part to OiLChef) & the sauce was perfect. The chicken brochette was exquisite & should be renamed because the chicken almost tasted like some other kind of meat altogether. Now the cocktails, ooh la la. No wonder people come from all over the city to discover the superb blends & flavour mastery.
The creme brulée au Thé Thailandais was heartier than the usual variety, a very nice twist on such a common dessert.
All in all , can I give 5.5 stars? Can't wait to try Chef Tota's other Cambodian noodle fare just a few doors away at KetiwVoir plus

Amazing night at Street Monkeys! It was amazing to be seated by the chef counter on a cold night since the heat of the kitchen warmed us up! The food was amazing; the lamb chops were tender & juicy, the drinks are very well balanced & beer was perfect! The steak & fried chicken are also very tasty! The ceviche was AMAZING but it is not for the faint of heart when it comes to spicyness! Will be back soon enough since this is truly a food gem in Montreal.Voir plus

In Hawaii we say "Broke da mouth" when food is next level up 🔝 & Street Monkey delivers that. The chef has a talent for flavor & every dish delivers a unique & delicious delight to the palate. The blend of Thai & Cambodian cuisine is absolutely amazing & definitely worth the visit. Also the waiters are very knowledgeable & friendly to bring each dish out hot from the kitchen to the table. À ce restaurant, il vaut la peine de s'assoir au bar & regarder les chefs cuisiner. Belle attention & travail d'équipe. La nourriture était excellente. I just spent my 50th birthday at The Street Monkeys & when I say it's SUPERB, it's an understatement. 1) Hillary made the booking experience a breeze for a group of 20. We did a set meal, chef's choice of 7(!) dishes but I could request certain items if wanted. Also, she made sure to ask if there were any dietary restrictions ahead of time or anything else we needed. Thank you Hillary! 2) Chef Tota Oung, your food is magnificent! The entire group agreed & many had never tried any type of Khmer or Thai food before. Thank you & your chefs for the delicious everything! We had so much food, I got to take home the leftovers which I am feasting on as I leave this review! Arkoun Chran/Kop kun ka 3) Henry, our server, gave impeccable service! We were a big crowd in a full restaurant on a Saturday night & he made sure we were well taken care of at all times. Xie xie ni! 4)The cocktails & signature beer. YUUUMMMMMMY. I should have made a point to meet & thank the bartender. Really amazing servers & service, super helpful & informed us about each dish. Sat at the chefs table & highly recommend it, you can see them prepare each dish with finesse. They offer smaller portion sizes which I prefer that way you can try many menu items & don't have to suffer through indecision. Also the pancakes for dessert were super delicious. Highly recommend if you aren't sure. There wasn't a thing that I ordered that was a dud. Overall great experience looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!!!!Voir plus
De très habiles singes de rue En général, il est recommandé de ne pas avoir le ventre plein avant d'aller au restaurant, mais quand tu as la chance d'aller manger chez Les Singes de rue, pardon, Les Street Monkeys, tu prends la réservation à 17 h 30, même si c'est une heure & demie après ton dernier repas. Tu croises les doigts & tu espères que ton estomac se mettra sur le mode « allez, déguédine ! » Au surplus, j'avais réussi - sans grand effort - à mettre ma mère de la partie. Le problème, c'est que je devais aller la chercher & repartir tout de suite après. On allait être serrés dans le temps, mais aucune excuse pour un excès de vitesse ! Il s'en est fallu de peu que ma venue prenne une tournure sinistre : sur un boulevard, un chien au regard terrifié & défait de sa laisse a traversé les voies témérairement, sa gardienne désespérément à sa poursuite. D'un coup de klaxon, j'ai attiré l'attention des autres conducteurs, évitant la catastrophe, mais le meilleur ami de l'homme était toujours en fuite. Nous arrivons ainsi à 17 h 30 avant tous les autres convives. Nous prenons place au comptoir du chef derrière lequel la jeune équipe de cuisiniers discute joyeusement en attendant leurs premières instructions. Notre affable serveur à l'imposant tour de bras y va de ses recommandations pour la soirée, de quatre à six plats. Elles nous auront toutes plu, mais quatre se démarqueront en particulier : le nhoam de pomelo, une sorte de salade alliant truite fumée & fruits, le nataing (succulente trempette de porc), les brochettes de poulet & les côtelettes d'agneau. Également surprenantes furent les boissons, en particulier celle au thé jasmin ! Le thé le plus arrosé qui m'a été permis de boire. À laisser sur la carte des boissons ! Après ces quatre plats, nous avons décidé de poursuivre avec le sauté au porc & à l'aubergine, un plat du jour. Il était un peu plus « ordinaire », mais chez les Singes de rue, l'ordinaire reste excellent. Déjà plus que repu rendu au dessert, j'ai poussé un peu trop la note avec le pudding au tapioca & au maïs qui a rempli le dernier recoin de mon ventre. Il en est resté plus du tiers, mais j'ai quand même eu la satisfaction d'avoir goûté à quelque chose de différent, à défaut d'avoir été comblé au niveau des saveurs. Une annulation de la réservation suivant la nôtre nous a permis d'étirer notre séjour & de siroter notre thé jasmin tout en continuant à regarder l'intrigant spectacle de haute voltige & de flammes auquel nous avons eu droit toute la soirée : le maniement du wok. Ainsi, je crois fermement que, pour profiter à plein de l'expérience de ce magnifique restaurant & de son ode à la cuisine cambodgienne, il vous faut choisir le même endroit que nous avec vue sur la cuisine. La soirée fut si excellente que nous avons complètement décroché du monde extérieur ; il n'y avait plus que nos délicieux plats, l'ambiance animée du restaurant, &... mon estomac qui me disait « assez ! » mais aussi « bon, peut-être encore un tout petit peu... ».Voir plus

We took the chef choice & we weren’t disappointed. Every, single, dish, was good. When you get this kind of choice in the menu there is always one a bit more disappointing than the others, but not with this restaurant - the vegetables are delicious, all sauces are balanced & compliment each meal ! The fish & meat is cooked perfectly !
