Not vegetarian or vegan friendly so much.
Way overcharge with the fixed menu if you're not eating meat with no protein option whatsoever.
Essentially $60 + tax & service fee for $18 - $24 of food. (small medium size mushroom salad, a good sized papaya salad as well as a small plate of air-dried vegetables & a small helping of rice)
Combine that with a tasty but somewhat small portioned $17 cocktail & I left hungry with $100 less in my pocket.
Not recommended, for vegetarians or vegans anyways.View more

We went as a group for a birthday celebration. Communication from start to finish was great. Thank you Hilary. & the service had a great flow as we went early. Food was really tasty & we had the small portion 9 services. Cocktails are really worth it. I recommend this spot for any group gathering.View more

Amazing night at Street Monkeys! It was amazing to be seated by the chef counter on a cold night since the heat of the kitchen warmed us up! The food was amazing; the lamb chops were tender & juicy, the drinks are very well balanced & beer was perfect! The steak & fried chicken are also very tasty! The ceviche was AMAZING but it is not for the faint of heart when it comes to spicyness! Will be back soon enough since this is truly a food gem in Montreal.View more

While the food was delicious, the portions were really small & overpriced. I understand it's tapas but the price/size ratio was just not right. The service was ok until we had to pay. Tip starts at 18% When we chose the "other" option the waiter rolled his eyes, he was standing there just waiting to see how much we were tipping. Would be nice if they had a fairly priced menu because the food was actually tasty.View more

Street Monkeys was on our to-try list for many months, & we should have checked it off the list sooner. Cocktails were a tasty start to the evening. The we shared 5 dishes for two people (& squeezed in dessert). The mushroom fish was a particular standout, punching above the expected weight class. & cannot go wrong with the lamb chops or bone marrow. The tea crème brûlée was substantial & flavourful, but the coconut cake with Pandan cream wins a tight head-to-head matchup. A wonderful meal was made even better by the constant flow of hip-hop & R&B bangers in the background. We'll be back.View more

We really enjoyed our time at this restaurant. The service was great at the bar, friendly & attentive. The cocktails were quite tasty. The food was excellent, we will definitely come back again soon. We did find the calamari to be slightly on the saltier side when the dish cooled off. I would prefer to taste more the seafood than the salt!
Other than that small detail we loved everything!

via LibroFirst time visiting, won't be the last. Took the family; we were 4. The service was first class, from start to finish. Cocktails were excellent. Food started arriving soon after ordering. Enjoyed the ambiance. The tapas concept works, we all picked from what we liked most, the kids were more particular. Food portions were good & we adjusted so that we all had at least one portion of each. Everything was tasty, but partial to skewered beef, imperial rolls & the Prahok Ktiss... the experience was well worth the 40 min drive.

Very friendly, respectful, attentive & helpful employees. Tasty food & original drinks. Lots of different options with fish & vegetables. My favorites were the asparagus/morelle special of the day & the bone marrow.
We were not rushed out & the place was very busy through the evening, which we appreciated as we had a lot of catching up to do!

via LibroCool casual vibe. Hipster vibe. Dress up or dress down. Service is super friendly, knowledgeable & efficient. Ask them for suggestions. There are great dishes that are not on the menu. Food is really really tasty. Our waiter told us that a few of the recipes were his grandmother's. Old country meets new school. The place is a must try. Reservations are a must. Always booked solid, but you can usually find a table 48 hours ahead of time.
