I had the stir-fry vegetables & chicken skewers. Both were delicious with an a lot of ginger & garlic. Make sure to get the sticky rice to capture all of the sauce.View more
Great place for Cambodian cuisine, the fried chicken & stuffed chicken wings were a must have!View more
Always delicious, highly recommend the shrimp ceviche & the stuffed chicken wings.View more
Big shoutout to Hilary with her knowledge of the menu along with her friendly relaxed vibe. Another shoutout to our friend Erick for bringing us out of towners to Les Street Monkeys for dinner on Saturday night. From the papaya salad, to the cod in amok sauce, savoury grilled beef & chicken skewers & lamb chops. An interesting take on the bone marrow with the palate cleansing broth. All of it was so good! Wish we had room for the pork belly & the stuffed chicken wings! Delicious cocktails to wash it all down. Highly recommend eating here! Also, we were told about a pop-up collab that Chef Tota of Les Street Monkeys is doing with DaiLo in Toronto, so I'm hoping to make it out there!View more
Does Drop Dead Divine sound good to you? If so you should head to Les Street Monkeys now. Outstanding Umami cuisine from Chef Tota & his ultra efficient & friendly team. Started with the eggplant dish (Nhoam D'Aubergine) which wowed my longtime foodie friend who couldn't believe her taste buds. Other dishes were the'fried' cod with Amok sauce, which was the best fried cod dish I ever have eaten. So light it's hard to believe it's fried (thanks in part to OiLChef) & the sauce was perfect. The chicken brochette was exquisite & should be renamed because the chicken almost tasted like some other kind of meat altogether. Now the cocktails, ooh la la. No wonder people come from all over the city to discover the superb blends & flavour mastery.
The creme brulée au Thé Thailandais was heartier than the usual variety, a very nice twist on such a common dessert.
All in all , can I give 5.5 stars? Can't wait to try Chef Tota's other Cambodian noodle fare just a few doors away at KetiwView more
My third time here & as always it was great! Great cocktails & amazing food. The best fried chicken I ever had!!!View more
Very cool spot , tried some awesome dishes & had a great time. The restaurant is very nice & clean inside. The staff was super friendly & did a great job. The food was very interesting & we enjoyed every dish. The stuffed chicken wings with the house hotsauce were very good! The shrimp ceviche was really cool too the wasabi flavour was crazy ?View more
Amazing night at Street Monkeys! It was amazing to be seated by the chef counter on a cold night since the heat of the kitchen warmed us up! The food was amazing; the lamb chops were tender & juicy, the drinks are very well balanced & beer was perfect! The steak & fried chicken are also very tasty! The ceviche was AMAZING but it is not for the faint of heart when it comes to spicyness! Will be back soon enough since this is truly a food gem in Montreal.View more
I have been several times, & am never disappointed. The food is so flavourful & delicious. The stuffed chicken wings are to die for. The fish amok is also a win, but would have liked a little more sauce on the plate. The lamb was scrumptious as well. The papaya salad was a little underwhelming, it missed a little oomph even though we asked for it spicy. A pet peeve i have when i go to a SHARING restaurant is when they serve you an odd number in the plate. 3 wings, 3 lamb chops. I mean, I nearly had to fight my companion, but in the end we split them equitably. :) The drinks are also very good.View more
In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. I was around, at a friend's house, looked up some good food around on maps, & this bar/restaurant definitely stood out. My waiter was kind, he recommended the eggplant salad wich was OUTSTANDING, the chicken brochettes were DELICIOUS as well. I'll be coming back, hungry for more lol.View more
Delicious food & amazing ambiance!!! The pork sausage stuffed chicken wings were unlike anything I've ever had. Everything was just super tasty, delicious, well presented. Friendly & helpful waiter!View more
As a group of 4 or more this place is a perfect for sharing plates. There were some clear favourite that everyone in the group wanted to try including the wasabi shrimp ceviche, fried chicken & beef noodles + waiter helped with plenty of suggestions according to our preferences. Most met the expectation or higher. Some dishes were less stand out (& very garlic forward) but overall very happy with the range of food options & left perfectly full!View more
We enjoyed our first visit & want to come back to try more delicious & flavourful dishes!! I would recommend the SAUTEED GREENS, STUFFED CHICKEN WINGS, WASABI SHRIMP CEVICHE, FRIED PAPAYA SALAD. We had the YUZU SNOOZE YUZU LOSE & PEARL NECKLACE drinks; delicious & refreshing :) The Crème Brûlée for dessert was amazing!! Thank you!
The food is always the highlight when we visit Street Monkeys. The dishes come out in a timely manner & are always delicious. I highly recommend the papaya salad & the stuffed chicken wings amongst other things. Cocktails are decent. The hostess who seems to be a manager (I think) is lovely. I didn't catch her name but she always has a smile & is very accommodating considering they are usually packed. Definitely one of my favourite Asian restaurants & puts Cambodia on the map!View more
No words can describe how good the food & drinks are here. Not a single bite that wasn't absolutely delicious. The stuffed chicken wings are unreal!View more
I had this restaurant on "my list" for the last year. Perhaps i hyped it up a bit too much so i was a tad disappointed. However at the same time still enjoyed it. The food was quite good but not mind blowing. The crispy spicy sweet fried chicken & stuffed (with pork) chicken wings are the best two items on the menu! The restaurant is nicely decorated, music not too loud & the service was great.View more
Fantastic meal & the service was top shelf. Squid & stuffed chicken wings were sublime. Highly recommendView more
Overpriced for what it is. Portions are tiny even if they are supposed to be tapas. Meat quality is mediocre at best. Only amazing thing was the chicken. Seafood was very basic. The rice wasn't even good & felt old which was extremely surprising for a cambodian place. In regards to service, it was okay. Ranked it low because the machine was programmed to only take 18% higher tip & anything else needs to be manually inputted in dollar amounts. I don't mind tipping you more, just don't force me into it. Altogether, price quality is not up to expectations.View more
They didn't have the 3 things we wanted from the online menu (imperial rolls, fried chicken, squid)
Super flavourful dishes. We got stuffed wings, chicken & beef screwers, mee Siam & steak. Every single dish was so delicious. The cocktails are also very good. Now my favourite south East Asian restaurant in Montreal & will definitely come back. The service is also very good.
fabulous food & fabulous service! a definite must! the stuffed chicken wings are nothing like I've ever had & the Pearl necklace (or pearl something!) cocktail amazing!
