100000/10! Ive spent 2 months going to each & every Korean restaurant in MTL, & this is my top #1 choice.
I literally go there on weekly basis. It has the best pork soft tofu soup that I've ever tried in my life. The lovely Korean auntie & uncle that run the restaurant & cook the food are also soooo nice!
This restaurant has to be one of my favorite spots in Montreal! I've been multiple times already & it has never disappointed me. It was my first time trying Korean food & it made me fell in love with this cuisine. I absolutely love this place & you should absolutely try it. Service is great! & my recommended dishes are the following: Kimchi chigae, beef bone soup, bulgogi jeongol, dakgalbi with pork & their fried chicken!
You won't be disappointed!
I ordered from Uber Eats but didn't receive the soup. This is a bummer because the food is quite good.
With 15 years of operation under their belt, this restaurant truly knows how to deliver rich flavors & comforting dishes. ✨
One of the highlights of our visit was their signature dish, Dakgalbi. The chicken is marinated to perfection & stir-fried with an array of vegetables, all infused with a delightful spice that keeps you coming back for more. 🔥🍗 Also, the use of broth in the soups adds a depth of flavor that makes each spoonful a comforting delight. 🍲💖
The chef, with 30 years of experience running multiple restaurants in Korea, has truly mastered his craft.
We highly recommend trying:
- Tofu Kimchi, which is a delightful combination of flavors & textures. 🥬😍
- The Somyun, available with seasquid or bai top shell, is another must-try that perfectly balances taste & freshness. 🦑
- & don't miss the Dogani Sooyuk-this dish takes a painstaking eight hours to prepare, & you can taste the care & attention that goes into it. ?👌
- & if you're in the mood for something spicy, the Jjambbong comes highly recommended by locals, while the Soondubu soup is perfect for those seeking a warm, hearty option. 🌶?🍜
Ordered beef bone soup & seafood egg soup. Beef bone soup: - broth tasted like water with chilly peppers - had 4 meaty bones which was good but it was tasteless - soup just came with 4 bones, 2 slices of potato & 10 strands of noodles. Soup felt very hollow with no spices or veggies. Nothing! Seafood egg soup - just tasted like sesame oil Overall, very disappointed & will never go back.
Honestly pleasantly impressed! Ordered yesterday kimchi jjigae on uber eats & woah - i am obv not korean & judge based on torontonian korean restaurants but so far almost in every korean restaurant in mtl kimchi jjigae is a mess, but not here - lot's of meat, finally the sour kimchi flavour & you guys even use glass noodles for the soup 🥹 If you added enoki mushrooms to this soup i would be very happy 😌 also now i'm very interested in trying other dishes that you have!)
My go-to for authentic Korean food. No frills, huge selection. They have something for whatever mood you're in; hot soup on a cold day or cold noodles on a hot day. Their pancakes also never miss!
