I used to frequent this restaurant quite a lot, but the quality has been going downhill over the years. Meanwhile, the chef's anger issue is going in the opposite direction to the roof.
today, I walked into the restaurant, & from the moment I entered until the moment I left, the chef was constantly yelling at the female waitress, who I assume may be his wife. The atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, I was too hungry to leave, so I still ordered some fried chicken. I bit into the first wing & found that the meat was still pink & visibly undercooked near the bone. I pointed this out to the waitress, & she immediately took it back & said she would bring me another one. aaaand, the chef stared angrily at me.
I was obviously naive enough to think that years of being a regular customer might earn me some basic fairness. Man, I was wrong.
The second serving was more concerning. the meat was dark & tasted dull & bitter( see picture) I ate a few pieces, paid, & left.
Take your anger management course & food safety course before cook again. A customer should not have to choose between tolerating aggressive behavior & risking their health.
I have kept the receipt & documented what happened today in case I develop any food-related illness afterward
Je me suis régalé! Le bulgogi au boeuf avec riz était excellent. Le bibimbap aussi était excellent. C'était servi avec des accompagnements comme une soupe miso, du kimchi, & autres marinades. Service très rapide. Ouvert tard. Prix très raisonnables!
First of all I need to apologise, first impression was like: it's empty O my one couple at Sunday night. Then... Of course the unexpected.
Me & my partner we are amazing: curry chicken with rice bowl # 12 oh lala my people.
Good staff.
Fresh ingredients.
one of the only places that has naeng myun on the menu, a summer staple
dak galbi was phenomonal - must get!
service was friendly & quick
surprisingly quiet considering how fire the food was!!!
The place is a little run down, but I can tell you they have the best Korean food in a kilometer radius.
Best Japchae in Montreal.
A restaurant ran by a Korean family who were neighbours with my friend. The food tastes amazing, like childhood memories.
100000/10! Ive spent 2 months going to each & every Korean restaurant in MTL, & this is my top #1 choice.
I literally go there on weekly basis. It has the best pork soft tofu soup that I've ever tried in my life. The lovely Korean auntie & uncle that run the restaurant & cook the food are also soooo nice!
This restaurant has to be one of my favorite spots in Montreal! I've been multiple times already & it has never disappointed me. It was my first time trying Korean food & it made me fell in love with this cuisine. I absolutely love this place & you should absolutely try it. Service is great! & my recommended dishes are the following: Kimchi chigae, beef bone soup, bulgogi jeongol, dakgalbi with pork & their fried chicken!
You won't be disappointed!
