A good selection of Spanish wines & excellent Spanish inspired dishes. Patient, attentive, friendly service from the waiter, Kevin from Angers. Definitely an address to revisit.
The service was very good, but the food was disappointing. We ordered the fish soup, goat cheese salad, & Catalonian anchovies to start. The salad was good, but the anchovies & soup were just okay. For the mains, we had the beef tartare & plancha calamari which were on special. We were disappointed with our choices, as the calamari dish was not seasoned & the calamari was a bit chewy, but the rice was pretty good. The beef tartare also disappointed us as the beef was chewy & the potato crisps were stale. Overall while it is a nice restaurant & the staff was amazing, we were disappointed with the execution & quality control of the dishes we ate in comparison to the amount we paid ($240 for the meal & a bottle of wine + taxes & tip).
Cuisine généreuse & goûteuse, full fun avec le serveur Kévin ! Très bon service 🤩
Belle découverte! Bon rapport qualité/prix (abordables), bons choix de menus, belle présentation des plats & service très agréable, merci!
A Culinary Symphony at "Pyrenees market cuisine" Nestled in the heart of old Montreal, Pyrenees beckons with promises of culinary bliss & an ambiance that dances between modern chic & timeless elegance. Upon stepping inside, one is enveloped in an atmosphere that whispers of refinement & invites you to savor every moment. The star of the show? The chef's masterpiece: the "Cassoulet à la Toulousaine, canard confit, saucisse, agneau & jarret de porc". From the first bite, it's evident that each element of this dish has been meticulously crafted to perfection. The lamb, delicately seared to golden perfection, boast a tender texture that practically melts in your mouth, while the sausage provides a decadent contrast of earthy flavors that dance harmoniously on the palate. But it's not just the food that delights the senses; it's the entire experience. The attentive waitstaff move with grace, ensuring that every need is met without intruding on the diners' enjoyment. The soft lighting & tasteful decor create an ambiance that is both intimate & inviting, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience. In summary, Pyrenees market cuisine is a culinary oasis where every dish is a work of art & every moment is savored. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking an escape from the mundane, this establishment promises a symphony of flavors that will leave you craving an encore. My wife & I are newcomers to this place, but we're pleasantly surprised when we meet another couple who highly recommended it. Coincidentally, they've visited multiple times with different groups, & the place has never failed to impress.
Super resto, les serveurs sont adorables, en plus il y a une terrasse
The service here was sublime. Atmosphere perfect. On general we all enjoyed our food. The selections were excellent. & exceptional vegetarian options. The soupe de poisson was very good. The orange Cake for dessert was nothing short of amazing. Just mildly disappointed in the paella. Would order something different next time but definitely will return for another visit.
A must when visiting Montreal. Joey met as at door & invited us in. Dorothy was an awesome server & Joey checked in regularly. Go for Grilled calamari vs fried. It was epic!. Paella was very authentic & tasty & the wine recommendation was perfect. The atmosphere is lovely & I can only imagine the summer & being outside. Thanks for a great dinner & make sure you visit when in Old Town. One of our favorites
