Review Summary

Les Délices De L'Ile Maurice offers a small family-run Mauritian dining experience where the food blends Indian, Creole, and Asian influences and shines with coconut shrimp and fried noodles, all kept affordable through a popular table d'hote with generous portions and a bring your own wine policy. Dishes like fried cabbage with a distinct vinegar garlic sauce and other traditional staples are widely praised for flavor and freshness, while the overall value remains strong. The atmosphere is warm and simple, with attentive, friendly staff, and the place is often described as a true gem with a long history and a welcoming vibe that makes every visit feel special; reservations are recommended since the space is small and tends to fill up. Some reviews note occasional slower service and a noisier dining area, and a few guests feel the cuisine may not tower above all other options, but the consensus emphasizes delicious dishes, consistent quality, and a culinary discovery that keeps bringing guests back.

10/10 on both the food & service. The coconut shrimp is an absolute must-try, & the fried cabbage is very tasty, especially when paired with the distinct vinegar-garlic sauce.

Great food & very reasonable prices.
The coconut shrimp appetizer is amazing, as is the Cajun sauce!

You can mix-&-match your meal, pairing a choice of meats & seafood with different sauces. Most plates come with a cabbage appetizer that is original & amazing. The soup is also delicious & included in the meal. You can add appetizers if you want but the portions are so generous that you don't really need to! A lot of the food is fried & can be heavy, so maybe not the best choice if you are on a diet... But the coconut shrimp is to die for.

Staff is very attentive without being overbearing.

From the outside the restaurant doesn't really look appealing. The decor isn't inviting or modern... But it's gone better over time.

Price range: Appetizers $3-$4, mains $11-$14, desserts $3.50
