Definitely make a reservation as this place is extremely busy. Their plates are small so for two people its recommended to order about 5-6 dishes which will leave you quite full so plan accordingly for dessert as you must have dessert. We ordered the petite grande aioli, crudo, jambon, boeuf, scallops, & the maiitake for our mains. For dessert, we ordered the icecream sandwich carrot cake which was delicious!!! Highlights were: crudo, jambon & the carrot cake. Would return & highly recommend it!

I was very excited to dine at Vin Papillion & had been looking forward to this experience for weeks. This dinner was sadly a disappointment. Though the environment is lovely & it's clear that the restaurant is quite popular, I found my meal to be very underwhelming. Was anything bad?? Not necessarily, but I think Vin Papillion is very overrated based on the experience I had.

Nous avons essayé une dizaine de plats, ils étaient tous très bon. La serveuse était très gentille, le vin était bon, si j'avais un point à améliorer serait le timing des plats qui étaient trop rapide pour profiter de chaque plat.

The first fancy Montreal restaurant of our trip. We made a reservation here for 5:15pm on a Friday night & got situated outside, which had a lovely decor & view. We ordered two servings of the sourdough, mushrooms, potatoes, aioli royal, asparagus, beef kebab, & pork chop, along with some assorted wines & cocktails. Everything was delicious, the service was incredible, & I left immensely satisfied. Would definitely recommend if you're in Montreal.

I wish I could give more stars but our experience was underwhelming & disappointing.

We were seated at 9pm, with an 8:15 reservation. There were probably another 4-5 groups also waiting to be seated for their reso, & one couple bailed. I felt bad for staff, because it was clear that their reservation system was not working correctly. It would have been appreciated if our extra wait was awknowleged by management in some way.

This may also sound trivial, but the staff cleaning the silverware was doing so at the bar. The loud clinking sound of dropping knifes & forks into baskets contiued for the entire dinner right next to us.

Lastly, when we finally ordered our server came back & advised us that we ordered too many plates, & suggested to remove 3 of them. We had ordered 7 total under the recommendations we saw online. After our 4 dishes came out, she never returned to see how we were doing, & the bartender assisted in ordering us a few more plates. Honestly, it just felt weird.

For a $200+ dinner for two, everything was underwhelming & I hope the staff gets more help & the reservation system is fixed to avoid these issues in the future.

Thank you for welcoming Jill & I last Friday evening. We had a great time & a fantastic meal. We were treated wonderfully from entrance to exit. Appreciate you all, looking forward to a return.

Nous avons découvert cette adresse par note ami Montréalais & ce fut une magnifique découverte ! Mets raffinés service impeccable malgré le monde qu'il ya avait (le restaurant un jeudi soir était bondé) ! A seulement 10 min en uber du centre de Montreal où nous avions notre logement ! Brave à vous !
