We were driving back to Toronto from Quebec City & decided to stop at The Swaad Indian Restaurant for lunch in Montreal-& it turned out to be one of the highlights of our journey.
The restaurant has a warm, inviting ambiance with a cozy atmosphere, & the vintage bike at the entrance was an instant hit with the kids.
We started with the crispy corn & masala fries, both of which the kids absolutely loved. The paneer butter masala was rich, velvety, & perfectly paired with incredibly soft butter naans. Among the vegetarian appetizers, the soya chaap was the standout & an absolute must-try. For the non-vegetarian starters, the karivepaku chicken delivered bold, tangy flavors with just the right amount of spice, while the fish was exceptionally tender & juicy.
No Indian feast is complete without biryani, & both the mutton ghee roast biryani & the special chicken biryani were outstanding-aromatic, flavorful, & easily the stars of the meal.
The quality of the food, the welcoming service, & the inviting ambiance exceeded our expectations, especially for a Monday afternoon. If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Montreal, this place is well worth the visit. We'll definitely be back on our next trip!
First time having lunch at Swaad. We had the chicken hyderabadi & lamb korma, which were both delicious. The meals came with a lot of rice & naan. Even the rice on it's own was flavourful & really nice. Everything was perfect. Can't wait to go back.
Oh my god, oh my god. Great place!!!! 48$ for two, which is including the drinks!!! That's cheaper than in McDonalds!!! I love it! I came with my mom & the service was great, & super quick. Not only that, but the atmosphere was so nice, the people are so friendly, & if you're a person who loves Indian food like my mom & I, you'll definitely like this place. Naan perfectly cooked. Not one second over or under, perfect amount of butter. & don't even get me started of the rice. It was perfect. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, & delicious. I got the butter chicken, & my mom got the paneer masala. It's just so good I can't even begin to explain. You gotta try it!
Best food. We ordered two curries, rice & naan. The quality & quantity is good enough. We were so fullfiled after having food & also did take out as well. Overall best experience. Must try it
Awesome food really tasty & delicious,
I had ordered Dal makhni combo & had more than enough quantity with drink & naan.
It's really good with price & quality.
#free parking is the very good option when u searching restaurant in this area.
We ordered dragon paneer, Hyderabad chicken gravy, paneer tikka masala, garlic naan, & tandoori roti. While the garlic naan & tandoori roti were excellent, the other dishes fell short of expectations. The paneer was tough & rubbery, & the chicken gravy was oversalted. Additionally, none of the items tasted authentically prepared, & considering the high prices, the overall experience was not worth the cost.
I went on a Wednesday afternoon with my bf & the place was pretty quiet. We ordered the butter chicken combo, dragon chicken & a mango lassi drink. Everything was good & flavorful!! The butter chicken especially! I then ordered garlic naan afterwards which was amazing! Our waitress was also very nice😊
