A cozy, intimate seafood restaurant with great food from start to finish. Everything tasted fresh & well prepared, & the plate of the day was the highlight. Highly recommended.
A growing institution on the South Shore. This place has been around for a while! Not too many spots like this on the South Shore & this place has the merit to serve pretty fresh fish. Nothing like fresh fish. Flaky, meaty, tasty.
Makes for great place for fish & chips. The size is also very respectable but we wished there was more coconut shavings.
Expensive but worth it.
I will say that when we went, the frying was not up to par...too much oil in the batter (fryer not hot enough or batter not cold enough?)
Unfortunately, the octopus is forgettable. Flavor is not special (although the menu description looks promising) & the cooking is not good. The octopus is too soft/cooked/grilled/boiled...not sure what it is but not nice. The portion is also a bit small. Good thing octopus has another 7 legs. The dish has potential!
A hidden gem in La Prairie! This is the place to go to on the south shore of Montreal if you're craving delicious seafood! Everything was fresh, super tasty & the service we got is also excellent! Super friendly staff & great restaurant ambiance! Their fish & chips & seafood platter are a must try! We would come back here for sure!
The food is very fresh & the food is very good. I normally don't even like fish or seafood 🙃 but I would definitely come back.

Equally showstopping is the Méchant Homard Poutine. The fish dishes are fantastic & fresh. We go out of our way to eat here & are never disappointed. The chowders are delicious. You can't go wrong with any of their dinner selections.
Very tasty, great menu, & they were very nice to us as Americans & were able to help us in English! The fish & chips were very crispy & fresh & the crabcakes were also good. Key lime pie & the Croustille de Pomme for dessert!
The fish & chips were quite good, with a generous portion of whole filet instead of just fish sticks. However, the coleslaw was disappointing; it didn't taste fresh & had an off flavor.
Best spot for sea food. The atmosphere is gorgeous. The food is fresh. If you want my opinion go for lobster role . & Sandy thank you for your kindness & beautiful smile.
Great & huge serving of moules - in a delicious curry, cocoanut, coriander broth. Dinner mate had one of the best fish & chips ever - light, very crispy batter, fish super fresh.
The Shack has been a favorite place of ours to eat delicious fresh fish for many years. Unfortunately, today the food was not at the high level of quality we have been accustomed to. The calamari were definitely below the quality & taste expected, they were thickly covered in a lot of batter, were dark & rubbery. The French fries were soft, we had to return & ask for another order. It feels like the oil may need to be changed for both. The cod in the fish & chips was watery & bland. Not at all our memory of the quality we've had in the past. We chose to go in the afternoon after rush hour to celebrate a birthday so there is no excuse that the kitchen was too busy. The price would be good, if the quality of the food was up to par to what we have known. The ingredients may be of good quality but the love we felt in the food is missing. The service from Sandy, our waitress, was excellent.
This restaurant has incredibly fresh & delicious food, amazing service, friendly staff & great ambience. I highly recommend to all fish & seafood lovers.
Nice little fisher' shack in south shore of Montreal, the decor there is kind of vintage style . The food is fresh & delicious. The price is reasonable . Recommend to whom loves seafood.

Apart from the server asking us to change tables after we had ordered, everything was fine. The food was really good. The calamari was fresh & cooked to perfection. We had the lobster guedille, classic fish & chips along with the maple syrup panko fish & chips. We will definitely return.
