A good option if you like seafood & that dining harbor side shack style...The wait was a bit long for the food, the expectations are traditionally send out the apps first before the main courses. We were all served same time, everything ordered. I would have preferred the oysters first to share & then the hot plates, but could be their methods. Few other minor tidbits about overcooking & seasoning, but fair pricing, good vibes.
Sooooo good. We got the onion rings to start & fisherman's boil as our meal. The portion was big. Lots of seafood, 3 crab legs, shrimp, cod, mussels & clams a few slices of potato & sausage. Definitely worth the price with all that seafood. So freaking good. Service was excellent!!

A cozy, intimate seafood restaurant with great food from start to finish. Everything tasted fresh & well prepared, & the plate of the day was the highlight. Highly recommended.
Love this place! The seafood is fantastic & the atmosphere is just the coolest, I love the way they decorated the place & really played into the'fisherman's shack' aspect. The clam chowder is excellent. They even have homemade ice tea!
Great service & very friendly staff. The Shack is really cute & gives you the feeling of a seaside shack. I ordered Mussels & Fries & was very tasty but was a bit sandy in some bites & the fries were not really what you expect. Looking at the other tables their seafood plates & presentations look awesome & people were really enjoying it. Keylime pie is good but the canned whipped cream on it was not.
A hidden gem in La Prairie! This is the place to go to on the south shore of Montreal if you're craving delicious seafood! Everything was fresh, super tasty & the service we got is also excellent! Super friendly staff & great restaurant ambiance! Their fish & chips & seafood platter are a must try! We would come back here for sure!

Service was very good very nice even tried to speak. The kids love their food which was speak, macaroni & cheese & fish & chips. My husband & I I got the seafood platter. It was good but the muscles could meet some seasoning . & not all of myself was the best quality summer spoiled
Tucked away in the charming riverside town of La Prairie, just a short drive from Montreal, Shack Du Pêcheur offers a coastal culinary escape without ever leaving Quebec. From the moment you walk up to this laid-back yet stylish seafood shack, the smell of the ocean mingles with charcoal & citrus, letting you know you're in for something special.
The ambiance here is effortlessly inviting - a mix of rustic charm & vibrant maritime flair. Whether you're lounging on their breezy terrace in the summer or cozying up indoors, there's an unmistakable warmth to this place that mirrors its food.
& oh, the food.
The new Coconut Lime Fish & Chips is a standout twist on a classic. Flaky, perfectly fried fish is kissed with coconut & lime zest, offering tropical brightness with every bite. It's served atop golden fries with a tangy slaw & house-made tartare sauce that ties it all together beautifully.
Equally showstopping is the Méchant Homard Poutine. Imagine Quebec's iconic poutine elevated to luxury status: crispy fries smothered in rich lobster bisque-inspired gravy (bechamel) , cheese curds, fresh herbs, & crowned with an entire grilled lobster. It's decadent, comforting, & unforgettable - a must-try signature dish.
The Grilled Octopus Starter is art on a plate. Charred to perfection with a smoky tenderness, it rests atop a zesty Mediterranean Tapenade & peppery arugula, complemented with a fresh lemon wedge. Light, flavorful, & beautifully presented - it's a nod to Mediterranean finesse
& for being more of a seafood joint, this place cooked a perfect Ribeye.Something for everyone & the compound butter is sick!
Shack Du Pêcheur is more than a restaurant - it's a destination. Whether you're a Montreal local or visiting from afar, this spot delivers a bold & memorable seafood experience that celebrates the flavors of the sea with creative flair & exceptional care.

A great surprise. A beautiful place to have seafood just outside Montreal. The food was delicious, great portions. An amazing service both in English & French.
We stopped by on New Year's Day on our way home, & it was such a lovely find! The restaurant is super cute, felt like we were in the Bahamas (forget that it's raining out). The menu has vast selection of seafood, we went with fish & chip & mussels & they were delicious. The staff was friendly & welcoming.
Original place that looks like a fisherman's shack! We tried different dishes like lobster poutine, grilled squid, seafood pasta & fish & chips! Big dishes & had to take some home! However, some plates were more expensive than expected (small plate of squid/poutine). The dessert was churros with dulce the leche, it was made with perfection!
I took a salmon tartare & my friend ate a seafood pasta, the food was good but the cocktail was so-so. A nice place to hang out in summer, sitting on the terrace was pleasant
Had visitors from Quebec city on saturday seeing that have not been to this restaurant we decided to try it. Two of us had two full lobsters & the other couple had a seafood plate with rice. The food came for the lobster we found it like rubber & for the seafood plate the rice was burned to the plate that it came in. It also smelled badly burn't. The waiter was advised but the plate was not changed for a new one & for the price it should of been & you just do not serve burn't food to a customer period. The calamari was very small & over breaded. For the waiter he gave excellent service but for a $60 sea food plate it should have not been charged due to the fact it was burnt to the plate it came on will not be returning.
