The food was fantastic-we came specifically for the dollar oyster special, & it didn't disappoint. While it took a bit of time for the oysters to arrive, we didn't mind at all since we could see them being freshly shucked right next to us, which added to the experience.
One aspect that felt a little off was the wine service. When we asked about a wine we were considering, we expected to taste it before committing, as is common practice at many restaurants. Instead, the server simply described the wine & didn't offer a sample until we insisted a second time. Even then, the response was hesitant, asking,'Are you sure you want to try it?' This made us feel uncomfortable, as tasting before choosing is typically encouraged when ordering wine.
Aside from that, everything else was wonderful. The food was delicious, & though there was a small error on the bill, it was promptly corrected when we brought it to their attention.View more

It's my second time at Roseline, the food is exquisite, the atmosphere amazing, specially with the pianist playing some of the best music variety! The service is excellent, special note to Loïc: very passionate, knows the menu & all it's ingredients one by one, very helpful, gave us good food & wine recommendations, & he's fun!
The atmosphere was particularly pleasant: lights are dimmed, yet you can still see your friends & the food in your plate, music & piano were playing yet you can still talk & hear, the decoration is nicely sophisticated & cosy…
The food was delicious: the starters, mussels, the lamb is just extra! THE DESSERTS are delicious!

I had been wanting to go to Roseline for a few months but the timing was off. They were either not yet open (too early) or it was an afterthought. Finally my sister & I had a chance to go & we weren't at all disappointed. In fact it's even more eclectic & smooth like a delicious cocktail.
Everything about this bar - speakeasy - resto is top notch. But the ambiance is really the icing on the cake. Sublime.
We enjoyed a bottle of wine & the tartare entree which was delectable.
I always like to keep these places I love a secret but I am sure it is going to be one of these spots in Montreal that will keep its doors open a very very long time.
The owner Jean-Marc was welcoming & gracious & spent some time speaking with us at our table. Our waiter Vincent was also full of positive energy. Dynamic.

First time in Montreal, we wanted to try a nice place & a friend recommended this restaurant. We spent a lovely evening eating delicious food, in a cozy warm environment & lovely service. Thank you to our waiter who gave us great advice on wine selection! Amazing evening!
We had a wonderful time here. It does seem like it's the sort of place you'd want a reservation for, so we were lucky to have a window. They've got a nice wine list written on the walls, & impeccable buratta. But this place really shines for its decor - the lighting is great & moody, the leather seats look divine, & I could spend ages looking at the elegant little trinkets along the shelves.View more

We were overcharged for a glass of wine & order of tea. When we let the server know, she said"oh, do you want a refund?" We did not bother - we were surprised by the question! Of course you give a refund. Music was REALLY loud, we asked several times to have the volume lowered.
Our first course arrived before we placed our wine order (though we asked to order it several times). A disorganized night overall. Food was great, as always.

Le nouveau chef est tres talentueux & le propriétaire tres a l'écoute des clients. C'était une grosse soirée & nous avons essayé de nombreux plats. Tout était délicieux! Les moules sont un délice, l'agneau aussi. Le plateau de charcuterie & fromages accompagné d'une verre de vin est parfait à partager à l'apéro! Une belle sélection de vins.

This place is soothing & the decor is magnificent (you can choose tables or big comfortable chairs & coffee tables)! The new chef is very talented & the owner very attentive to customers. It was a big evening & we tried many dishes. Everything was delicious! The mussels were delicious, as was the lamb. Such a great decor in a place tucked away in a quiet side of saint Laurent street. This place makes you feel like you walked into another part of town. Beautiful wine bar & restaurant with great cocktails & professional service.
We tried a number of different items on the menu all of which were tasty although portions were quite small. We wanted to order wine by the bottle but the prices were outrageous & we're coming from New York City.
via LibroI came here for the first time for drinks & sharing plates after work with a friend. I've been wanting to try this wine bar for a long time. We adored our experience. The decor was warm & comfortable, with soft lighting (real candles), leather chairs, & the music wasn't too loud, so we could hear ourselves talking. The drinks & food were perfect, as was the service. Will definitely come back, & recommend this to all my friends.

via LibroI went for dinner with clients at Roseline. The place looks great, super nice vibe. The food was good. The problem has been the service all along. We went in wanting cocktails & champagne, while we were left with water glasses for 25 minutes without anyone coming to see us. By then we were hungry so we skipped the cocktails, & we had to chase the somellier for some wine advise. We also had to refill our wine glasses ourselves as the service wasn't done. Then the food came (including a soup without a spoon). Quality of the food was nice. We were never offered desserts, & after all the waiting deciding to leave. We had to again chase the waiter for the check, which I had to stand up for & look for him as my clients wanted to go.
