Le Rodman is the experience you're looking for!! Good vibes, Good music, Good Food, Good people. I recommend the plate Fritay if you want to try a bit of everything, definitely the Best Griot in Montreal. The service is great & the place is clean. 5 stars!
Une serveuse au Pikliz Restaurant nous a conseillé d'aller jeter un coup d'oeil au Rodman. Même propriétaire, plus spacieux, ambiance plus festive avec un bar & une cuisine qui travaillent à plein régime. Cela vaut la peine de faire un petit tour là-bas.

La nourriture est très bonne sauf que les quantités pour le poulet croustillant, la pieuvre & autres plats sont moins généreux à part l'assiette de fritay. Il faut prendre un accompagnement pour compléter. À part ça, c'est excellent, surtout les drinks 👍🏿 & l'ambiance relaxe avec une variété de musique.
L'ambiance est le fun & les serveurs sont vraiment agréables.
Par contre, je dois avouer avoir été extrêmement déçue de la nourriture. Moi & mes amies avons pris le fritay parce qu'on s'est dit que c'était l'option la plus sûre en tant qu'Haïtienne. Néanmoins, contrairement au nom qu'ils lui ont donné, le goût n'était pas straight d'Haïti DU TOUT. Je ne sais pas avec quoi ils ont fait le mélange de marinade & d'acras, mais ça ne goûte pas du tout à ce à quoi je suis habituée. Ce n'est pas dans le bon sens que je dis cela.
Je dois quand même avouer que le griot était mangeable & tendre, mais ce n'était pas ouf non plus.
Je comprends que c'est une fusion, mais il faut savoir quand faire des modifications & quand garder l'authenticité d'un plat. Cela n'a pas de sens qu'un plat s'appelle'fritay straight out of haiti' mais qu'en tant qu'Haïtienne je ne trouve pas le goût de mon pays.
Ever since I went there my first time it has become my favourite spot to go out in Montreal! The cocktails are so good & different from the usual, the music is soooo good, & the fact the food runs until 2am is soooo cool

A stand out place. Good food. Good drinks. Good vibes. Outstanding service. Their kitchen is open till 2am. The medianoche sandwich & the fritay are delicious.
