Je voulais tester le Rodman depuis un moment, malheureusement l'expérience ne s'est pas avérée à la hauteur. Après un premier échec dimanche dernier (un post Instagram datant du 4 août mentionnant un plat chiken & waffle dispo uniquement le dimanche, laisse entendre que l'endroit est ouvert ce jour là…mais non! D'ailleurs ce même post Instagram est également disponible version affiche à l'extérieur du bar… de quoi resté confus face à ce manque de mise à jour de l'information…)

J'ai retenté ma chance samedi dernier, l'ambiance est bonne, la musique aussi, le staff très sympathique & accueillant…

Malheureusement, les barmans ne sont pas compétents en mixologie & pour cause les cocktails sont HORRIBLES…j'ai testé mocktails & cocktails c'était à peine buvable…à 18$ le cocktail & à 12$ le mocktail, on est en droit d'attendre qu'ils soient bons, & par bon, j'entends au minimum qu'il ne soit pas coupé à l'eau.
Je n'arrive d'ailleurs pas à concevoir qu'on puisse servir des boissons à la fontaine, coupées à l'eau au vu du prix demandé. J'ai parlé avec plusieurs personnes au fil de la soirée & nous cherchons encore le goût de nos cocktails à l'heure qu'il est…

Concernant la nourriture, les portions sont ridicules (ce sont des entrées & pas des plats), c'est bon mais une nouvelle fois le rapport quantité/prix ne vaut pas la peine. Je préférerais payé 3/4$ de plus & avoir une vraie assiette.

C'est dommage car le lieu a un vrai potentiel, le cadre est beau & je pense que ce bar pourrait vraiment être un très bon spot à Montréal pour la communauté afro-caribéenne mais il y a de nombreuses choses à revoir pour être à la hauteur des prix demandés…

Cela correspond peut être à la clientèle plus jeune & moins regardante qui fréquente l'endroit…ça n'en est pas moins décevant!

Great night life. Great music. The staff is fun. I love the vibe there. I went on a Friday night & it turned into a little party. They remove all the chairs & everyone is dancing.

Unbeatable safety & genuinely wonderful people! I made a major misstep & accidentally left a high-value bag with an iPhone & wallet unattended inside. I was so relieved when I found everything untouched right where I left it. Huge thank you -this is easily the safest, most welcoming spot in town!

Nous somme allé pour un anniversaire c'étais très bon l'ambiance super service aussi j'ai pas tout goûté mais le griot que j'ai manger étais excellent goûteux & tendre mes amies on pris le smash il on apprécié aussi & les frites avec l'aioli miam seul désavantage pas assez d'aioli 🤣
