If you're looking for a vibrant, high-quality, & absolutely delicious dining experience in Montreal, Le Red Tiger in Angus is where you need to go. We booked a Saturday table for four about a week in advance & the entire experience, from arrival to last bite, was seamless & fantastic.
First Impressions & Ambiance:
I arrived 15 minutes before the rest of my party, & the staff immediately made me feel welcomed. I was quickly greeted & shown to our table-no awkward waiting around! The décor is gorgeous: modern, clean, & creates a really great, energetic vibe.
Food & Drinks:
We kicked things off with cocktails, & they were all delicious & expertly mixed.
The star of the show is the tapas-style Vietnamese food. This is truly the perfect way to eat here! The quality of the food is excellent, & the portion sizes are ideal for trying a little bit of everything without getting too full on one dish. We shared everything family-style, which made for a really fun, convivial evening.
A Quick Note on Service:
Service was a bit slow at times, but honestly, the evening was very busy, so it was totally understandable. Plus, we weren't in a rush & enjoyed the relaxed pace. It certainly didn't detract from our overall fantastic experience!
Highly recommend booking a table & going with a group as it's a great place to connect over fantastic food.
Tip: Book a little ahead, especially for a weekend night, & be ready to share!
Great team, love that any waiter or waitress can help you, they all want to ensure you are satisfied & they all help each other. The beef brochettes are awesome & the fried banana's are super! Great job on service, best I've had in a while.
Went here with the family for dinner last week. Loved everything we ordered: the chicken wings were my fave, fresh spring rolls that come with a bowl of pho broth was super comforting, I'd love to come for lunch to try a whole pho with noodles! Also got the Bò kho (beef stew) that comes with baguette & was delicious. The grilled beef lemongrass skewers, chicken & shrimp fried rice & sautéed bok choy were so tasty. For dessert, the flan in Vietnamese coffee sauce was perfection! Our server was friendly & attentive, thank you for your patience! Would love to return here next time we're in the area!
J'ai vraiment adoré mon expérience culinaire. Les plats étaient diversifiés & tous savoureux. Rapport qualité prix très raisonnable. Bonne sélection d'alcool. Ambiance agréable.

Nous avons été très déçus par notre expérience. Après avoir passé notre commande, il a fallu attendre plus de 30 minutes avant de recevoir simplement les boissons, & presque une heure pour que les trois plats arrivent enfin. Le goût n'était pas mauvais, mais le riz frit était sec & trop cuit. Malheureusement, cette expérience ne donne pas envie de revenir.
Les plats étaient savoureux & généreux en terme de quantité (surtout le plat de vermicelles).
La terrasse est sympathique & le service rapide.

Une belle soirée! Le cadre est chaleureux & vraiment accueillant. Le personnel est toujours souriant & prêt à rendre le moment encore plus agréable. Belle variété dans les plats & les boissons. Un excellent rapport qualité/prix, vraiment une adresse à recommander. J'y retournerai avec grand plaisir!
I have been to both locations & I can confirm that food is always very good. Another thing that both locations share is how slow/bad service can be. It feels like they are either severely understaffed or lack organization. Having had previous experiences of slow service, we made sure to order our two drinks & four dishes at the same time to try & proactively manage this issue. Well, despite our efforts, it took exactly 2 hours for us to get our small order (restaurant specialized in small plates made to share), & be able to pay our bill & finally leave. At some point we even had to ask them where our 4th & final dish was because we had been waiting for something close to 20 minutes since the last one. Until they fix this aspect, going there will require a lot of patience on your part so make sure you have nothing better to do than sit in a restaurant, not eating or drinking for a good while.
