If you're looking for a vibrant, high-quality, & absolutely delicious dining experience in Montreal, Le Red Tiger in Angus is where you need to go. We booked a Saturday table for four about a week in advance & the entire experience, from arrival to last bite, was seamless & fantastic.
First Impressions & Ambiance:
I arrived 15 minutes before the rest of my party, & the staff immediately made me feel welcomed. I was quickly greeted & shown to our table-no awkward waiting around! The décor is gorgeous: modern, clean, & creates a really great, energetic vibe.
Food & Drinks:
We kicked things off with cocktails, & they were all delicious & expertly mixed.
The star of the show is the tapas-style Vietnamese food. This is truly the perfect way to eat here! The quality of the food is excellent, & the portion sizes are ideal for trying a little bit of everything without getting too full on one dish. We shared everything family-style, which made for a really fun, convivial evening.
A Quick Note on Service:
Service was a bit slow at times, but honestly, the evening was very busy, so it was totally understandable. Plus, we weren't in a rush & enjoyed the relaxed pace. It certainly didn't detract from our overall fantastic experience!
Highly recommend booking a table & going with a group as it's a great place to connect over fantastic food.
Tip: Book a little ahead, especially for a weekend night, & be ready to share!

La salade de papaye a été une belle découverte, les brochettes de poulet au satay étaient incroyablement bonnes ainsi que le cocktail pitaya!
Je suggère moins les côtes de porc, très peux assaisonnés donc très sèches

Première visite à ce resto vietnamien. La majorité des plats commandés étaient savoureux: carpaccio de boeuf (10/10), rouleaux impériaux, brochette de boeuf, bok choy à l'ail & riz au lait de coco. Les wontons frits étaient trop petits & trop cuits tandis que le seul dessert proposé, un flan au café, était ferme & couvert d'une croute raide & trop cuite. La principale déception est les cocktails. Après deux ou trois gorgées, vous découvrez la montagne de glace. Pour près de $25 / cocktail (après taxes & service), c'est un excès qui laisse un étrange sentiment au client.
Ma copine & moi sommes allés souper pour la première fois dans un Red Tiger. La nourriture était excellente, le service exceptionnel (Noémie est une perle). L'ambiance était magnifique, l'éclairage & la musique bien ajustées. Je recommande à tous pour une vraie découverte gustative & d'excellents cocktails! 🍹🍸🍲😋
Nous étions 6 personnes & avons opté pour le menu dégustation (45$/personne). Côté quantité/prix, c'était très bien. Par contre, la qualité n'y était pas. Les grillades étaient trop cuîtes (difficiles à mastiquer) & les crevettes dans nos plats n'étaient pas cuîtes. Elle étaient encore grises & translucides. J'ai été malade pendant la nuit. Pour ce qui est du service, c'était très expéditif. On nous a retiré notre plat de salade de papaye alors qu'il restait encore une portion. Je met 2 étoiles, car l'ambiance était agréable & nos cocktails étaient très bons!
C'est bon... mais sans plus. Très joli resto & service efficace. Le concept des petits plats est intéressant, mais la diversité & la quantité ne valent malheureusement pas le prix. Les côtes de porc braisées étaient dures & les brochettes de poulet satay ne goûtaient pas grand chose. Par contre, on a aimé la salade de papaye & les beignets de crevette & porc sur canne à sucre. Cocktails adéquats. J'y reviendrais pour essayer les plats plus "standards" à l'heure du lunch.

J'adore! J'adore! J'adore! Tout était absolument sublime! Le carpaccio de boeuf, les mini-crêpes & la salade de papaye étaient particulièrement délicieux. & que dire du ragoût, des brochettes & des ailes de poulet! Le personnel était attentif & a offert d'excellentes suggestions, surtout pour les cocktails. Un coup de coeur assuré!
Délicieux cocktails aux saveurs originales, nourriture vietnamienne exquise style street food/tapas servie dans une ambiance décontractée. Service impeccable du début à la fin. Bravo à Lucky Belly Group d'offrir à Angus la cuisine asiatique à la fois abordable & distinguée !
