Good food + atmosphere if you don't mind feeling like an imposter once inside; long wait time overall. Recommend Pistachio French Toast.
Wonderful breakfast/brunch place. The food is delicious & plentiful. The hash browns with sour cream are heavenly. We have had many different dishes; petit dejeuner, assiette rustic breakfast, French toast ( amazing) & the chachouka toast, avocado toast. All of it is tasty & well presented. You won't need to eat again until well into the night. Food is rich & filling. It opens 9am - 3 pm & takes no reservations so you will want to get there early to queue up. The indoor space is small , & the patio equally small. Service is attentive, however you still need to be patient.
Best brunch in Montreal. Their Bennie's are amazing. The French toast it's the best I've ever had.
A Really Nice Place for Breakfast!!. Good & Really nice Friendly Service! A REALLY good Eggs Benny. Nice Coffee ☕? The French Toast is Wonderful!
We were there around 11:30am on a Sunday & had to only wait 10 minutes to be seated. If you come around noon, note that you may need to wait a little longer.
We ordered the vegetarian eggs benedict, rustik plate, & the french toast topped with blueberry compote. Everything was absolutely delicious!
The server was friendly even though I didn't speak French. 😪 Their eggs Benedict & potato fritters were amazing. A must-visit in Plateau.
came here for breakfast for my first time in Montreal & let me just say this was an absolute treat to be at from the service to the atmosphere to the food. Everything was spot on & it was great. no need to worry if in French isn't is strongly because they help you in both languages. create me to start of the day. I'll definitely come back here again.
We ordered a egg benedict with smoked salmon, a french toast with apple, 2 potato frits & 2 hot chocolates.
The fruits coming with egg benedicts doesn't taste.
The hot chocolate was too light for me.
The foods were alright.
What a beautiful place! Me & my friend were looking for a nice brunch place to catch up & for good food at the same time. We were there around 10:30am on a Sunday & had to only wait 10 minutes to be seated. If you come around noon, note that you may need to wait a little longer.
We ordered the vegetarian eggs benedict, rustik plate, & the french toast topped with blueberry compote. Everything was absolutely delicious! Instead of ordering only 1 slice of french toast, we should have ordered 2!
The pistachio French toast was good, however, important to note that this is NOT TRUE PISTACHIO. This is made with almond spread & NOT pistachio. The flavour is good because we enjoy the marzipan flavour, however, if you are looking for authentic pistachio flavour this is not what I would recommend. I think they should be mentioning that in their menu to not lead people astray.
Otherwise, the food was good. The salmon Benedict was tasty, not a huge fan of the lime sourness as a flavour combination.
The best part by far were the bognettes. They remind me of latkes & were done very well here.
🤤 🇫🇷 🍞 Pain Doreeeeee! DAMN!
It's been a while since I had Mtl brunch, & Le P'tir Rustik did not disappoint 🙌
Fortunately we went Friday shortly after lunch, & got seated instantly, however the place was more or less full - i can see how on the weekend this place will be swamped.
Staff were super friendly, Service was fast, & food was top notch!
We ordered the Atlantique Benedict, Gravelax (deconstructed atlantique with toast), & French Toast 💣
The Benedict was great as to be expected. Generally I get the hollaindaise on the side, however mistakenly it was put on (the team did offer to make me a new one, but I decided to chow down) & I must say the hollaindaise in this instance was perfect, light, not overpowering & well balanced!
On to the French Toast, the clear star of the show 🌟 we opted for blueberry, & did not expect this beast to come out - when it arrived we knew it was gonna be good & it tasted even better than it looked.
Fresh cream, thick slabs of pain doree, blueberries, & some caramel/butterscotch sauce (to me this tasted like melted down werthers originals).
Next time I'm back in Mtl, I'm going straight here 😆
I want to highly recommend everything, I went to Montreal for a couple of days & searched on the internet for the best brunch in the city & I decided by le P'tit rustik because of the good reviews.
I was totally surprised, starting with the service, which was fast despite being full, & what can I say about the dishes The French toast was the best I've ever tried; it's so fresh & full of flavor.Without a doubt, when I return to Montreal I would go again, I highly recommend it.
Honestly, so pleasantly surprised with this place. The food was delicious & there is something for everyone. Service was well timed. The restaurant is cozy & welcoming. The French toast was delicious & shakshuka on toast was super tasty. The portions are generous & the prices are fair. I will most definitely be coming here again! If you come on a weekday, there is usually a table available with no wait!
The french toast I had here was so so great. I really loved it. I was so happy! Only minor downside is that the fruit was cold, & I would have loved to have it warm. But that's just a matter of tast I think.
Definitely go here & order the french toast!!
Definitely one of the best breakfasts I have had. I got a standard breakfast with bacon & it was something special. My girlfriend had the Benedict Atlantique & everything was bursting with flavour; she got emotional. The server suggested French toast with pistachios & I typically don't get French toast because it's always heavy & feels like just eggy bread. However, what we got was different. The bread was light like a cloud, the pistachios were crunchy & tasty the cream was sweet but not overbearing & it had a blueberry compôte that made it a brighter dish. It was a huge surprise & definitely a great way to start the day!
We went on a Friday & it was very busy with only one waitress working & yet she managed to be quick, efficient, & very friendly. We got the apple french toast & the pistachio french toast which were both amazing! A great experience overall & their patio is great.
The food is delicious. It's a cute frenchy vibey brunch. However ready to wait in line. They focus on group of 3-4 to maximize the space, if you are a group of 8... Don't think about it.
Currently having brunch at this spot as I write the review. This is a five star review for sure. The service was exceptional. The server was elite. The pistachio french toast was superb. Lovely place with fantastic food & incredible service.
