The menu reads like a who’s-who of Parisian comfort food favourites, with beloved classics the likes of steak tartare and duck confit in mustard sauce alongside an array of spectacular seafood platters. Boasting one of the most interesting wine collections in the city, Le Pois Penché offers an impressive selection of imported bottles and wines by the glass.
This authentic French brasserie delivers fine cuisine in simple opulence: plush red velvet, checkerboard floor tile, crystal chandeliers, large paintings and a blackboard listing the daily specials on the wall. In the middle, a large bar; around it, busy waiters flitting to and from, outfitted in the traditional white shirt, black vest and apron. French bistro, through and through.
Le Pois Penché’s terrasse buzzes with animated conversation while its private banquet rooms reserve their splendour for group functions. Le Cellier, in particular, offers a sumptuous venue for events up to 70 guests, with vibrant Parisian settings by artist Pierre Pivet, a vaulted brick ceiling, and the restaurant’s prized wine cellars displayed behind sleek glass panels. Connected to the brasserie, Salon Chez Swann, in the boutique hotel of the same name, is ideal for groups of 24 guests or less.

J'ai connu au tout début, c'était très bien puis avec le temps la qualité a chuté & le restaurant ne valait plus le déplacement. Aujourd'hui la cuisine est professionnelle, les plats sont très bons ,appétissants,les cuissons sont réussies, le service agréable avec ambiance plutôt chic & décontractée. Bref pas mal du tout avec toujours la décoration brasserie parisienne. Entrée ,plats & desserts sans faute avec du pain baguette extra & chaud en plus.

Lunch d'affairé agréable au Pois penché, un gentil bistro situé au coeur du triangle doré, l'endroit est vraiment branché & l'ambiance y est très agréable. La bouffe classique & tout simplement incroyable. Tartare de boeuf ainsi que le saumon - véritables délices pour les papilles. Les plats étaient bien présentés & d'une grande fraîcheur. J'ai adoré! C'était vraiment du haut niveau, je n'ai rien à redire sur la qualité de la nourriture proposée. Le service était également impeccable. Le personnel était très courtois & attentif à nos besoins. Nous nous sommes sentis bien accueillis tout au long de notre repas. En résumé, le bistro Le Pois Penché est un endroit que je recommande à tous ceux qui recherchent une expérience gastronomique de qualité. C'est un incontournable dans le paysage culinaire de la ville. J'ai hâte d'y retourner!

Nous avons eu le plaisir de manger au Pois penche à quelques reprises & c'est un grand plaisir à chaque fois! Non seulement la nourriture y est très bonne, mais le service exceptionnel & attentionné offert par Marwa contribue aussi à nous faire revenir bien souvent! L'ambiance (surtout le jeudi soir avec le talentueux Matt Mardini) est un autre facteur qui fait du Pois penche un de nos restaurants favoris à Montréal!
What a delicious spot to try out when you are in Montreal! All the ingredients tasted fresh & it can be seen in their cooking how much they honor fresh & quality products. The Prince Edward Island Black Magic oysters were heavenly!

J'ai été pour le brunch & commander l'assiette de croque madame le meilleur manger a se jour avec sont excellente sauce & la salade d'accompagnement avec des graine de grenadine tout simplement succulente . Service courtois avec sourire avec serveur sympathique & competent . Restaurant beau & charmant avec une propreté impeccable jusqu'au toilette . J'ai hate d'y retourner pour essayer les plats du soir .

What an amazing dinner & service. The night started with a cheerful greeting by India. She went out of her way to get us the perfect table ( not an easy feat ). Then our server Guillaume gave us the best service by showing up on time every time for every course. We asked Guillaume to select our menu based on some criteria & he absolutely killed it. Every course & wine was perfectly paired. He did this on his own & in other places you have to pay double for this! My daughter called this place a 10 out of 10 & I could not agree more! Thank you India & Guillaume for proving why Montreal dinning is next level!
Excellent night, amazing first time at Le Pois Penche. I asked our waiter his name, & of course, it slips my mind now (Francois maybe, oh he was so knowledgeable about the wines, was friendly enough to talk about his home in Monaco, & was wonderfully warm about all of our menu selections. We had a beautiful champagne with dinner, oysters, starters, & Brittany had the canard confit, & I had the Atlantic salmon with leeks for mains. Insanely good. Truly fine french cuisine (I have been to Paris, & this takes me there.) Would go back in a heartbeat. Make that, half a heartbeat. Merci beaucoup!

Such a beautiful restaurant, & the food was delicious. My fiancé & I had a wonderful time, & the wait staff & host were amazing & so attentive. This place is easily in my top 5 restaurant experiences. Will definitely be coming back!
My experience at Le Pois Penché was nothing short of spectacular, thanks to the incredible service provided by Mehdi & his team. I had an amazing time hosting my engagement party there! Despite managing our large group of 27, Mehdi was the epitome of attentiveness & professionalism. He ensured every detail was perfect & made me feel completely at ease. I was very stressed & he made sure to check in & let me relax. His ability to keep everything running smoothly without missing a beat was truly impressive. I highly recommend Le Pois Penché! Food & service was top amazing, I would definitely host there again!
A great place to experience the French bistro. By stepping in, you feel the Parisien atmosphere the interior decoration, the elegant guests, the French accent & the kindest service staff. The food is amazing, the complementary sauces are making the extra notch & they have a good wine cella
Beautiful 5 star dining restaurant. All their choices of food are excellent. Upscale, so, I recommend you dress up before going there, & reservations are also advised.

Everything from service to food was perfect. We were a table of 2 & got a quaint table near the door. The onion soup was delicious & so was the burrata with carrots. I asked the waiter if I could get the homemade cavatelli with an extra onglet de boeuf on top & he had a blast going to the kitchen & making the request for me. Very friendly staff & top dining experience. I havejt eaten at a restaurant this good in years.
Gorgeous place, yummy seafood, attentive staff, in a great location. Me & my partner went for lunch, we got the seafood platter & it was so yummy & a great value. Especially for the place. The salmon tar tar was yummy & fresh. Get it spicy, it's not super hot but its soo flavorful. & the creme brulee is creamy & well balanced, not at all sweet & the caramelization on top is perfect. The wait staff were friendly & attentive, the espresso was great. Would absolutely recommend for a great lunch or dinner. (::
