Nul besoin de faire six heures de vol pour savourer les délices de Paris : au cœur du centre-ville de Montréal, la brasserie française Le Pois Penché a tout ce qu’il faut.
Dans un magnifique décor à l’ambiance feutrée, fruits de mer et plats français réconfortants y sont servis depuis l’heure du brunch jusqu’en soirée. En plus d’une somptueuse salle à manger dotée d’un bar qui convient autant aux repas de semaine qu’aux occasions particulières, l’endroit dispose d’une terrasse sur rue donnant l’impression d’être aux premières loges sur le tapis rouge.
Au sous-sol, une salle intime richement ornée de tableaux et pouvant confortablement accueillir 20 à 70 convives, est parfaite pour les événements privés et rencontres d’affaires. Son cellier vitré lui donne un air d’opulence et un coup d’œil exceptionnel. Connecté à la brasserie, le Salon Chez Swann, à l’intérieur de l’hôtel boutique du même nom, peut recevoir jusqu'à 24 invités.
Pour accompagner le tartare de bœuf classique, les cavatelli aux crevettes sauvages, le canard à la moutarde, la côte de veau aux champignons ou, mieux encore, un des incroyables plateaux de fruits de mer, la cave du Pois Penché comporte plus de 150 vins français. Incontournable pour les amateurs de vins et de cocktails, l’établissement présente plusieurs choix au verre comme à la bouteille dans toutes les gammes de prix.

The salmon tartare was spicy but not too spicy with such great flavours. The mussels were delicious & that sauce was scrumptious. The Paris Brest, dessert, was one of the best we've ever had. La nourriture par contre je suis partage. Le potage est ok sans plus. Le crabe cake OK. Mais j'ai beaucoup aimé le repas avec la truite. J'ai pris l'option table d'hôte à 35$ & ça c'était parfaitVoir plus

Best French food in Montreal hands down! I easily made a reservation & from the time I walked in, I was promptly seated at a lovely table on the side of the bar. It was a bonus the server was able to speak English, he even offered to speak French or English. We end up ordering wine & the waiter made an amazing recommendation. Along with food specials, he suggested to us some great items. We end up ordering a couple of appetizers, a few entrees & desserts! Every so often he'd come by to check in with us, & it's the little things that he does that makes our dining experience superb like pouring wine for us, cleaning any empty plates & maintaining a clean table. Other servers & even the hostess stopped by our table to make sure everything was to our liking. You can see a whole team effort & it doesn't go unnoticed! Everything was just absolutely incredible, unforgettable dining experience & I'll be sure to dine here again on my next visit back to Montreal!Voir plus

I discovered Le Pois Penché earlier this year & I have been a return customer several times since. The atmosphere is delightful & welcoming & the food is exquisite. I have tried many of the items on the menu & can't really choose a favourite, however the Cavatelli & the Steak Frites are amazing! I like to sit at the bar & enjoy Julian who is a master oyster shucker. Incredibly knowledgeable & passionate! I am not a big oyster fan but after trying one on his recommendation I can say I now understand the allure. Staff are all very friendly & attentive to service. In a city of many culinary choices, Le Lois Penché is at the top of my list!Voir plus

We ordered the seafood platter for two.
Everything was very delicious. The lobster tail was a bit small for the price we paid(in my opinion) otherwise a really classic French style seafood restaurant.
PS we got our margaritas served in low-ball (whiskey) instead of classic margaritas shape glasses, & it was small size. I guess focus on wine & food instead of cocktails (after all it isn't a bar)
