⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A hidden gem in Pointe-Saint-Charles!

We had such a wonderful experience at Le Petit Sao. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome & took great care of us throughout our visit.

The food was absolutely delicious-fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The grilled chicken bowl was generous, packed with fresh vegetables, herbs, & perfectly cooked chicken. Every bite was full of authentic Vietnamese flavors.

What made our visit even more special was how family-friendly the restaurant is. My daughter Sophia loved it! There was a little play & coloring area that kept her happily entertained while we enjoyed our meal, which is every parent's dream. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, & relaxed, making it perfect for families.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, bright, & thoughtfully decorated, creating a welcoming space where you instantly feel comfortable.

Thank you to the amazing team for the great food, kind service, & family-friendly environment. We will definitely be coming back & highly recommend Le Petit Sao to anyone looking for delicious Vietnamese food in Montreal!

I tried the grilled chicken pho. The broth was very salty & didn't have any depth at all, unlike authentic Vietnamese pho. We could tell the restaurant is more geared toward a non-asian, more Quebecois clientele.

I had an unexpectedly late night & was feeling rough in the morning. Vietnamese is usually delicious & healthy, so I popped in here on an impulse. Should have checked the reviews first. The ca phe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee) was perhaps the worst I'd ever had. It tasted like it had been sitting in melting ice diluting all morning. It tasted neither like Vietnamese coffee nor condensed milk, just bad watery coffee. Since I was admittedly out of sorts, I don't want to be too harsh on the food. I can say that the meat in the bun thit nuong (pork cha) was surprisingly herbaceous - I'm guessing lemongrass. However, the dish as a whole didn't do anything for me. I actually picked around the noodles & just went for the pork & veggies. It's got a cute pastel-hipster aesthetic that will age quickly. It already feels a bit dirty in there. The service model is unclear - the baristas come out to take your order but otherwise hangout behind the bar. They don't check on your meal, & you walk to the til to pay.

Blown away by this cute little Vietnamese spot in the Point! The rolls, soup & sandwiches all top notch. I went 2 days in a row.
