So small & intimate. I love that you can bring your own wine! The food comes out quickly & service felt very personal. The only thing is that we wish the menu changed more! There were a lot of similarities to when we went last valentines.
Le Pegase is our favorite French restaurant in Montreal for ever visit. cozy, intimate, & the perfect place to enjoy an authentic French dining experience.
Amazing atmosphere & the food was to die for. Hosts were supe
Better to provide English menu for non-France speaking visitors
My husband & I visited at least 3 times during our 3.5 months living in MTL :) Unpretentious, chill, ambient, affordable but with excellent quality of food. They won't rush you like most of the resto by having a dinning time limit, & you can bring your own wine!
I never really went to french bistro after I came back to Vancouver ;( Miss this place so much 🍷
Fabulous fabulous fabulous. Made a reservation for 2 & brought our own wine (no fee for corkage, be sure to bring your own though bc they don't sell wine). It's a set menu so you get ~4 courses included & the prices range from $55-67. They were out of the soup for starter so we had to pick salad, it was fine. The salmon tartare was amazing but the beef profiteroles were meh. For our main plates we got the lamb chops & bison steak - both a 10/10, amazing. The crème brûlée was to DIE for. I would eat that as my death row meal. The chocolate death thing was also good. Ended up spending ~$167 with tax & tip for the two of us. Worth it for this succulent meal.
Un de mes restaurants préféré & il est AVV en prime! Nous ne sommes jamais déçu par la qualité de la nourriture & les portions. Je recommande sans hésiter!
Large portion at a reasonable price! Foie gras in their appetizers is a must-have!
Really recommend the lamb cause it's so juicy & tender. We are also impressed with the duck breast & it comes with very good cheese.
However, the desserts are too sweet for us….my bad
Great for pretending you're in Paris - minus the space, plus the BYOB. 🍷
Parking around this spot can be quite tricky. The food quality is decent - they serve a fixed menu concept, but with enough choices to keep things interesting. Big portion for Asian appetite
To be fair, for the price you pay, the food is more than reasonable. The real highlight is definitely that it is BYOB! We brought 3 bottles with no corkage fee…
The place is extremely small, truly giving off the vibe of a cozy Parisian bistro.
Would I go back? Probably not, since Montreal has so many other great French restaurants to choose from.
The restaurant doesn't open every day, so it's best to make a reservation in advance. It serves very traditional French cuisine with simple but solid ingredients - especially generous portions of meat. The set menu comes to about $80+ per person after tax. The restaurant is quite small but cozy, with a warm atmosphere. Every dish was delicious, & even ordering without much thought felt safe - nothing disappoints here.
Have been wanting to try this local byow gem for a while now & it definitely did not disappoint. The menu is simple with a small selection but everything was absolutely delicious. We were 6 people & were able to try everything. Would definitely come back.
2 étoiles car je me suis senti arnaqué, dommage car c'était vraiment bon.
Call first to confirm the menu!!
My wife researched rabbit & found it on the web menu of Pégase. (We added a day to our hotel stay to enjoy this treat).
However, on being seated we saw that nearly half the web menu was gone - including the rabbit pasta.
Since that was our reason for choosing Pégase, we opted to dine elsewhere.
I'm sure the food is excellent but we were unwilling to try alternatives, as their proposal was disingenuous:'have the shrimp pasta instead'.
So if a particular menu item catches your eye, best to call & confirm.
