-très abordableView more
Service impeccable, courtois. Merci à toute l'équipe & à la prochaine!View more
❤️View more
Friendly service, nice ambiance & delicious vegan options. I have been several times & usually get the vegan tasting menu, it has 5 different dishes & lots of Ethiopian bread.View more
Great place to go since over two decades. Great food with an ample vegan menu as well, plus a vegan dessert.View more
Service was good (for instance offered wet towel to clean hands before the meal, & wi-fi credential, even without me asking for it). I ordered the vegan two courses tasting menu for one person, as I know nothing about Ethiopian food. The size of everything was indeed for tasting, however in light of the relatively high price ($35), I was expected more. Most of the items were not that spicy (good for me). There was only one really too spicy to my taste - not sure what it was (color was dark brown). It was interesting experience, but personally I'll likely keep it as one time experience. They are not take-away friendly (I tried). The place is not too large' the mirrors make it seem to look larger. It was busy, though. It worthwhile mentioning that the google entry is outdated: - there is no Israeli cuscus on the menu.View more
The vibe is upscale comfortable, & the food is out of this world: well made, beautifully presented, & fulfilling to vegan & carnivore palettes. The drinks, even off menu, were well made & balanced. The wait service was professional. The host had some quirky remarks & unpredictable energy.View more
I really enjoy this restaurant. The vegan combo plate is simply delicious. They have a great menu offering several speciality Ethiopian dishes. The staff is friendly & welcoming. I definitely recommend this restaurant. My friend & I had a wonderful evening eating delicious food & speaking with the friendly waiters.View more
For the past 20 years, this has been my go-to whenever friends & family are visiting Montreal because I can trust that the cuisine & the experience will be impeccable & spectacular. I am amazed to see that Le Nil Bleu has only gotten better since the pandemic, with even bigger & more diverse sharing platters, even more perfect & varied spice blends & an even more impressive wine list. I can't imagine the reviewers saying that the service is poor or slow. I've never once had a problem in all these 20 years. We are always treated like special customers & have often been offered a free dessert or digestif. I've never had a problem being served the wrong thing even when our party has been large & the restaurant has been full. If you want a fast food meal with a tablecloth on the table, go to one of the myriad "smashburger" joints. If you want a culinary journey to one of the world's richest cultures complete with tasteful decor, enjoyable music (sometimes live!) & healthy, delicious food that can please meat eaters, gluten free eaters & vegans all at the same table, at pre-pandemic prices, look no further!View more

Such an incredible meal & experience. We came here for my birthday dinner & the host was absolutely wonderful. Very fun & amusing. The staff was all incredibly pleasant & knowledgeable. We got the vegan tasting meal & lamb Berbere (sp?). Everything was absolutely incredible.View more
Good place but portions are a bit small. Great vegan optionsView more
We took the vegan menu de dégustation since my friend is vegetarian. Very nice dinner experience, interesting & delicious. Will definitively go back & try out the meat ..
My daughter & I celebrated her 19th birthday at the restaurant. She has a vegan tasting menu & I had the kitfo tartare. The last time I was here was 10 years ago, & the quality of the food is just as good now as it was then!
Excellent service ,cleanliness, presentation & Delicious Wonderful Vegan Meal .This is such nourishing wholesome food .I love Ethiopian Food & this is perfect !
Brilliant as always. Been there more than a few time over the course of 20 years, & it's consistently amazing.
One of the many gems in the plateau, this place offer a unique experience, gorgeous ambiance & great service.
Their menu offers something for everyone; delicious meat dishes & plenty of vegan/vegetarian options that will please everyone at the table. Can't say enough good things about this place.
Nora
I made a reservation for a big group for my birthday & everything was perfect! I had the vegan tasting menu & it was absolutely wonderful. My friends had cocktails & they enjoyed them all. The service was impeccable, they even cut the cake that one of my friend brought! 10/10
Food was good but service was poor. We were served the Vegan tasting meal which is not what we had ordered. The waitress did not even apologize for the mix up. We were also given the bill without being offered any coffee.
Fantastic food & wine with an excellent service!
Various vegan plays & player available. The flavours are great! Will be going back for sure :-)
This is a fantastic restaurant. The service was fantastic, friendly & prompt. The food could not have been better. We've had Ethiopian in NYC & other places & this is easily on the list of best places. The spices, flavors & bread are great. Servings are very generous. We had way too much food, in fact. We ordered the tasting menu of meat & veggies for 3 people & the vegan platter for 1 person (which is such a great option, usually tasting menus have to be for a whole table, this allowed us so much freedom) - & we could not finish it all. We didn't have room for dessert. The wine menu is good, not great & the house cocktails tend to be based in fresh juices so they are sweet. & when they say spicy, it actually is - which is so great, usually restaurants warn, but it's kinda not spicy. The diversity of flavors was so fantastic I wish I could have eaten here all day. Eat here, go here, enjoy your evening. Oh, & the serving staff is so nice!
We had eaten here a few years ago &, with two nights in Montreal, wanted to return. We had a late evening reservation & shared the vegan tasting platter for two - four appetizers & five entree items. It was delicious & we were glad we had returned. Strongly recommended!
I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant, the music, lightning & workers was nice. Really clean also. I'm putting two stars out of 5 due to really high prices & really small portions. I ordered a vegan serving for two including an entree to share for two & everything was so small... Note: the vegan option was not more expansive than the meat option. It was delicious though & really pretty to look at to take photos but it was a scam. Ended with a 87$ receipt & not even a half stomach full. We finished going somewhere else after to be able to feel satisfied. Queen Shaba on avenue du Parc in Montreal do way better than Le Nil bleu. Bigger portions & more decent prices. Even the alcohol was more expensive than most places I went in Montreal for Ethiopian foods.
Even the wait to finally be able to eat took 35 to 40 minutes at least. Really slow service.
I'll never go back at Le Nil bleu ever again.
Really nice ambiance. Beautiful restaurant. A food experience with great variety for vegan. That was really good !!!
Excellent choix. Très belle sélection.
Je recommande fortement Le Nil Bleu!
