So first of all we were at the table of 4 like referenced in the negative review from Biana. Everyone else had a stellar meal & the service was exceptional. We've asked her to remove the completely unfair review but so far it's still up so we felt no choice but to leave a review of our own.
This is not the first time we invited her someplace & although everyone else had a great experience she ordered something she didn't like. Let me put it in perspective. The wagu steak was a luxury item more than 3 times the price of everything else on the menu. If u order something like that you take the chance to see if you like it & if it's worth doing for you again. As stated in review it was OK so essentially just It was not matching HER expectations.
In this case the rest of us feel it was a case of buyers remorse. Imagine being the waiter & someone makes a scene perhaps even in an attempt to return a very expensive meal that simply one person doesn't like. Sure if you don't like a $30-40 meal you can do that.. bring me something different please.. this is not to my liking.. but no you can't do that with a $140+ wagu steak. If YOU don't like it tough. Don't order it next time.
The waiter otherwise was perfect & we felt very welcome as he was personable & attentive. There was just nothing he could do about Biana in that situation.
We do not support that review & since we brought her there we feel responsible & apologize for putting the restaurant in this position. Not only was our fantastic meal partially ruined by her attitude (premature departure) & subsequent review (which came in while we were still at the restaurant), but now a fantastic restaurant & great waiter has been defamed unfairly.
Please pay no attention to that review & come see for yourself. It's a great restaurant & other people agree with us in countless reviews! Again.. We've asked her to reconsider her stance but, that failing, perhaps it's best that we simply not include her from now on in our restaurant adventures.

Cute place & romantic atmosphere.
Food selectively good.
I had scallop & wagyu steak.
Really liked rose wine - smoky & fruity at the same time.
Scallop on the dry side & lots of sauce.
wagyu steak -ok just ok. Had so many sides & are that over cooked.
My red wine that supposed to go with wagyu was icy cold & not in the right class served. Why ? Not sure.
Waiter completely was dismissive to me out the party of 4 people.
Not what I have expected from a place with so many stars.

Food & services was good, experience was a little over exaggeratedVoir plus
This is a great restaurant but there are some issues preventing it from achieving 5 star status. For one, the service is extremely slow. Unless you have 3-4 hours don't bother. I enjoy fine dining & still found this insanely slow compared to other restaurants in the industry.
Food was great, but not incredible. Around the table we had bison cheek, deer steak, scallops, Tuna tartare, all of which simply met expectations. Nothing really stood out in our eyes, nothing was remarkable. They also have limited digestifs which is surprising. Value for experience is quite good, we ate very well for roughly $250 / couple with tip included.
It's a nice spot to experience on a trip, but not a place I would dine regularly, or even more than once! We enjoyed ourselves, so overall 4 stars.
Le Mitoyen Restaurant: Awful, not worth the $$$
7 of us were expecting a great experience based on the good reviews. We were celebrating the 25th wedding anniversary of my sister & brother in law.
Four of us started with a cream of carrot. We got it, it had so much salt it literally burnt your mouth. My girlfriend had a salad but tried the cream out of my plate & almost threw up. All 7 of us tried it & everybody agreed: uneatable!
So? You tell the waitress, right? We all told her the soup was burnt by salt & guess what the answer was: “impossible”. My brother in law intervened & pushed his rank of cook, & repeated to her that it was disgusting.
So? You would figure that all plates leave for the kitchen & the waitress would come back with freshly made soup & a grave apology, right? Wrong again! Boy, you’re really not good at this! The plates came back DILLUTED IN WATER!!!! The soup was so clear it was not soup anymore, it was consummate! I could see the bottom of my plate through the mixture! Talk about taking your clients for ignorant fools!
The soups all went back & we had the salad instead, even the ones that did not want salad. We were certainly not going to chance it a third time.
Thank god we were in good company. The soup was certainly the joke of the evening & will probably be for years to come: “Man, there was so much salt in that soup, surprised there still was some left to put on the table”; or “Can you pass the salt please? Sorry, there’s no more, it was all in the soup!”; or “Don’t put salt on your potatoes, the waitress is watching you!”, or “Pass me a pepper grinder, I’ll try to cut the salt in my soup”, you get the idea.
& through all that, not one single apology, bill reduction, digestive on the house, N_O_T_H_I_N_G. Apparently this restaurant is owned by a chef? What a joke! Only excuses: “to heir is human” I heard the waitress say. Well, sure is. But we should all assume our errors & here’s one for you: “2 wrongs don’t make a right”.
Awful food, questionable service, terribly overpriced, immensely overrated. We’ll never go back & I recommend anybody not to go there.
