Review Summary

Le Majestique Montréal comes across as a lively, eclectic bar-restaurant with a baroque and quirky decor, a buzzing atmosphere and a setting that shines for oysters, small plates and cocktails. The menu is tapas style with a focus on seafood and shareable dishes, with many reviewers praising the oysters as fresh and well shucked, the octopus as perfectly cooked and the mackerel spread as a standout, while some items such as tortelloni or certain preparations receive mixed reactions. Cocktails and natural wines are a recurring highlight, with several guests praising attentive service and knowledgeable staff when they are on, though a few experiences report slower service, understaffing during peak hours, or a server who was not up to par. Prices are described as on the high side for portion sizes, some noting that portions feel small for the cost, but many feel the quality and atmosphere justify the expense. Reservations are advised as the place can get busy, with a summer terrace enhancing the experience, and the venue is lauded as a must-visit for a fun night out, a date, or a celebration, though allergies or dietary requests should be confirmed in advance due to occasional missteps. Overall, Le Majestique Montréal is celebrated for its distinctive vibe, inventive menu and strong seafood and drink program, offering a memorable Montreal dining experience despite some inconsistencies.

I really enjoyed the food here. We got these PEI oysters that were actually really meaty but mild in flavor. It came with a really cute squeeze bottle that had hot sauce in it. I just had to look at it. We ordered a double ravioli which was the highlight of our meal. I honestly wished there more pieces because 6 pieces was literally a tease. It was buttery & flavorful, & just a well executed ravioli. The sauce on the plate really added to it.

My only complaint was the bison tartare. I didn't really feel it needed that pastry shell? I'm not sure what it was. I also felt like the tartare could have been seasoned more. However, the grilled octopus came out & I forgot all about the tartare. The octopus was perfectly cooked & had a good texture. The sauce that it came with was also very flavorful. All in all, most of our food was very good. It is on the pricier side I would say for the quantity that you get, but I also feel like restaurants get expensive these days because of recession etc. I would have been more upset if all the food was mediocre. But the food was cooked well, so I'm not totally mad about the price.

The overall vibes of the restaurant is very cool & somehow felt very Canadian? I'm not sure how to explain it. Just the overall look & the design & decor made me feel like I was in a Canadian place.

Went here for a bite for a friends birthday after walking by & seeing the amazing atmosphere inside! The salmon dish was amazing - the sauce & crunchy onions on said salmon was amazing. Drinks were great. Fries were very good. Will need to come back! So much characte

The minute you step into the restaurant your eyes are taken on a wild adventure. Every corner has its set of knickknacks & decor. The staff is on point & friendly. If you can, sit at the oyster bar with Raf. It's tapas style eating & every dish was well crafted & had its unique flavors. Oysters were perfectly shucked, fresh & delicious. Forget the Tabasco, they have their own house sauce. All & all great ambiance, fun night out with friends.

Came here for dinner last night with a friend. I got the gnocchi dish with mushrooms & a truffle sauce in it. I find dishes with mushrooms can be hit & miss but this one hit hard & kept having me eat more. The sauce was perfect. I'd 200% eat this again here. They also made me a nice lemonade as I don't drink alcohol. It was simply done but tasty. Great combo for dinner.
