This was a real disappointment. We were part of a group of 20, two tables of ten. The menu was pre-arranged by the host, & the price was pre-set at $100 p.p. + tax & service, plus drinks. Of course the service was 18%, which was fine. & when we got there we were told we could each pay our own way.
The biggest disappointment was the small portions of food for the price. It's meant to be a sharing menu concept. But the portions just didn't satisfy. For instance, for the main course, we were given one small plate of carrots & one small plate of frites for 4 people. I regret not taking photos because the portions were laughable. Only when I questioned did they bring out more! This was consistent for all 4 courses. It was as is the kitchen had miscalculated how many dishes to send out.
The service started out well, attentive. But as soon as the first course came out, we felt rushed. One server who was bringing out the food was calling out the names of the dishes so quickly that we couldn't understand them. We felt rushed to finish our dishes, as they were clearing even before some were empty! Once, out of principle, I told the waiter to leave the dish with the two asparagus pieces.
But when dessert should have been served, we waited 40 minutes!
The food was good, & nicely presented, though the beef dish had more fat & grizzle than it should have for this type of establishment.
All in all, a very big & expensive disappointment.View more

I think they were trying to save on power because it was so dim we couldn't even see where the plate was practically. The server was also a disaster. Got 3 things wrong in the order & denied it ( maybe writing down the orders would help fix that instead of pretending to be good at memorizing) She was busy getting shots & drinks with people as well as chit chatting instead of doing her main job. Anyway the food was pretty decent but the service is ultimately what makes a restaurant in my opinion. The prices on the menu would suggest that it would be the case anyway.View more

Overrated! Let's start with the menu who was falling off, had hard time handling it, for a restaurant like this one, it's very cheap to not invest in a menu lol, if you are going to order 1 drink 1apetizer 1 meal & 1 dessert prepare yourself for 130$ to pay, moreover they literally f.up the octopus, it tasted like fish & ships, the dessert was too sweet & I LOVE sweet usually, the fish (dorado) is good but not worth the price, the drinks are 18$-20$ but not worth the price either. I don't mind paying even 200$ but def the price has to meet the service, which didn't in this case! If you want a nice fish restaurant go to Rayan, that's exceptional! The place has a beautiful terrace that is just perfect for a nice dinner with friends or a date, 2 minutes away from the waterfront. Service is over all very good except for the fact that they tried to upsell us on alcohol drinks like 4 times even do I specified we aren't drinking alcohol on a Wednesday afternoon. The vibe is great & the food is to die for, the pasta with the bone marrow was ridiculous & even the chicken was so juicy & tender yet cooked to perfection. Oysters 🦪 super fresh. I highly recommend the spot to anyone looking for a high-end dining experience.View more

Arguably one of Montreal's best restaurants. James provided the best service we've ever experienced outside of a Michelin star restaurant. Food, presentation, service, drinks & atmosphere were exceptional. I've never had a whole fish presented as well - perfectly done. Can't recommend this place highly enough.View more

I totally loved the overall experience here! I would recommend booking way ahead of your dinner. The tables indoor get booked really fast.
We got a table outdoor dinning area. It was beautiful with lights & flowers. Could get a bit cold so make sure you have a sweater.
The food was absolutely amazing. Every bite was a delight. I loved all the rich flavours of the food. The chicken & Rotelle were my best dishes. Can’t describe the feeling of that chicken in the butter sauce that accompanied it.
There was also the fried fish(I can’t remember the name) it was fresh & well prepared. It also had an amazing sauce to go with it. I ordered for medium rare steak & it was yummy!
The Rotelle came with oxtail & mushrooms in it & portion is large so can be shared by 2. We were stuffed & had a wonderful time here.
It was my birthday & I got a complementary piece of cake on the house. The cocktails were great as well.
The service here was exceptional. They made sure we got our drinks topped regularly. They were patient, explained the dishes, made great recommendations & overall were courteous.
Overall, this was an awesome experience. I literally had zero complains. Lol 🤣😂 except the fact that I was over fed. Every meal was delicious. I will definitely love to come back for my dates.View more

We went for a dinner on a wednesday night after hearing a lots of good things about that place. I was really excited & thrill to try that place. Everything was good at the beginning. Until the main plats. We had to wait 45 min to get our main plats, & trust me. Do not take the chicken plats. It was more than dry with a taste of burning. our waitress should of verify for our orders. That was a big unprofesionnalist from her & we had to wait for at least 15 mins for a glass of wine. I could understand chicken takes 20 mins to cook, but an extra 25 mins ? Her reason was the chef had to do a rotation in the kitchen. Are you kidding me ? Giving me a lie. I made it clear to her that i was unhappy with her services. It's such a waste, that a waitress made us having such a bad experiences. Next time, offer a wine glass on the house or a drink when you see the mains plats is taking a long time. & don't say your glass is coming when we had to wait 15 mins.
