Review Summary

Reviews of Le Glacier Bilboquet describe a beloved Montreal ice cream destination with a wide range of flavors, from traditional creams to refreshing sorbets, and a pleasant outdoor terrace in summer on a pedestrian street that turns the area into a calm, family friendly spot. Many praise the artisanal quality, the variety of flavors, and friendly, efficient service, making it a go-to for locals and visitors alike. Several comments highlight a charming vibe, a cozy interior, and a reliable, attentive staff that enhances the experience. Some critiques note that the ice cream can be quite sweet and that a few flavors, like pistachio, do not meet expectations, and a few mention small cornets or a higher price point. Summer crowds and car-free streets are mentioned as a plus, with quick service even when busy and a focus on a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Le Glacier Bilboquet is seen as a standout ice cream spot with strong favorites and seasonal offerings, though flavor and price experiences can vary by visit.

Great location with a lot of flavors of ice cream & sorbets. In summer the street is closed for cars so you can go there with kids & enjoy the weathe

Hello,

Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ice Cream: 5/5

We came when it was very busy since the day was super hot, but we didn't have to wait long. The service was quick & friendly, & the interior was super cute with bouquets on the wall & little tables to sit at.

Special thanks to Florence for recommending the passion fruit sorbet & the vanilla raspberry. They were delicious, & I will definitely come again!

A little gem of an ice-cream parlour discovered quite by chance during my last visit to Montreal. I highly recommend their sorbets, especially the passion fruit & mango. Super friendly staff too.

Awesome ice cream & sorbet flavors. The Carasel de mer is salted caramel with pecans. Yummy! Will have to go back for its mango sorbet as I heard good things about it.
Cash & debit only.

It worth to stand in a line. If you need non-dairy (sorbet or vegan), they have plenty of options.

Chaque fois qu'on passe on achète toujours la crème glacé ou le sorbet. Les variétés différentes & toujours frais. Il y a un fil d'attente mais cette fois ci non.On était chanceux !!!

Milkshake is more milk than Ice cream. I asked if they could add more ice cream & it came back with the same ratio. $9 cup of milk :/ Another time in winter I went close to close, & they allowed me to wait in line all the way until I got to the front only to tell me they were closed once I got to the counter with still 10 minutes left before close. The store was quiet & I was the last person in line at that point. I don't know why they didn't say something before letting me wait in line, they saw me come in & had plenty of time to tell me. Do the managers not pay them to clean up after close? One of the orange sorbets tastes like the orange concentrate from the can at the grocery store. I think this shows they aren't skimping on flavor for this one but it is really hard to eat. I've tried the vegan ice cream flavors & they are decent but often they run out without marking it on the board. Unfortunate after waiting in a long line for a flavor that isn't there. Too many bad experiences for the price. I won't be coming back at this point.

A must-stop every time I go to Montreal. The ice creams & the sorbets are excellent, & soooo many flavours to choose from! The shop itself is super-cute, with a decent amount of outside seating so you can sit down & enjoy. On nice days there's usually a line up, but it moves quickly. Today's choices were a rich & fudgy 50% chocolate ice cream & a very refreshing pear sorbet. Perfection.
