Small & intimate setting, you can see the kitchen, & cocktail bar. It's lively & a little chaotic in a good way. Every dish we ordered was exceptional, but the buckwheat crab, the oysters, sesame tuna, & the tuna tartare stood out the most.View more
One of the best customer services I have had in Montreal! Too bad we did not ask his name, but he was very kind & knowledgeable for the drinks & the dishes. All of his recommendations were on point! (All of their wine recommendations indeed satisfied all of us!).
Oysters were not only fresh but it was also quite chunky 😋. I really recommend grilled octopus too! It was soft & seasoned very well. All the main dishes we had was super tasty too.
Lastly, you cannot not take the famous maple square! It was perfect to end our course 😁
Overall, it was 10 out of 10! We all really loved the vibe of the restaurant. I really liked that it was not too loud(probably we were the loudest table idk😅), & just by the fact the how good customer service it was, it is definitely worth to try!View more
A classic in Montreal. Have been coming here since they opened. The food is good. Always has been. The menu really hasn't changed. If anything, a little for the worse with some of their modifications from the OG. The oysters & the tuna dishes are still there, & the same. The beef tataki is more or less the same - the mushrooms are now fried & the beef sliced thin, which is not a great change. My issue however is mostly with value. For the same price ($100+ CAD), I get double the food at Beba. More dishes, more food, more interesting new stuff that changes seasonally. Have a very tough time justifying regular trips to Le Filet. Maybe once every few years for nostalgia? Just overpriced, especially in this economy. Service is friendly, but inattentive. Just not paying attention for long stretches. & took forever to pay my bill & leave. Glad Le Filet is still around, but its peak has sadly passed.View more
Loved my time here - we got seats by the counter which gave us a great view of the kitchen. The service staff were fantastic - professional, helpful, & friendly. The food was great with the standouts being the miso oyster (my favorite bite in Montreal) & the honey cake dessert. We spent about 300 for two people (including tip) & reservations were required. Will definitely be back next time!View more
Easily in the conversation for the best restaurant in Montreal... I visit probably 4-6 times a year & it never misses.. The miso gratin oysters ARE the best app in the city, prove me wrong. Staff & service is as strong as the food.View more
I think this maybe one of my new favourite restaurants here . The service was amazing & every dish that came out was not only visually pleasing but it even tasted better than it looked. Theu choice of oysters , raw & cooked is the definition of fine dining . Every dish that we order did not disappoint. I highly recommend this place to take anyone you're to impress with the Montreal food scene.View more
Finally had the chance to try the famous restaurant where you go after your tennis session. It is also a place I highly recommend if your looking for the best service in town & the best variety of fancy plates. Going there, we tried a lot of what is offered on the menu. To start, we ordered the miso gratin oysters. These are one the best things I tried in my life. It is a perfect combination of sweet & sea taste. After, we tried the cold corn soup with foie gras. It was very unctuous & fresh. We then ordered the octopus plate & the wagyu tataki. The octopus was not to squeaky & not to hard, perfectly smooth when we bit it. The wagyu was nothing to special but it was well cooked (medium rare). Moreover, we ordered the linguine plate, the lobster pastas plate & the gemilli pastas plate. All three were amazing. The linguine plate was not as good as the Daily catch restaurant do it but take it if you're an amateur with this kind of plate. I didn't really taste the lobster in the pastas but the sweetbreads that comes with it are my second favorite thing I ate between all the plates we ordered. The veel cheek that came with the gemelli pastas was very tender & tasty. Finally, I tried the maple syrup square as dessert. It was very simple but very comforting & not to heavy.View more
Here for GP weekend & found this gem doing some quick research. Glad I did! Wonderful time with our bartender Steven & great hospitality from everyone else. The food matched their exceptional hospitality & it would be a treat to come again soon. Go & have a great time! Oh & don't forget the oysters!!!!View more
I ordered the seafood linguini, the braised short ribs, the oysters (au gratin?), & the maple syrup square. Definitely the closest to a 10/10 meal that I've had in MTL. Also, very agreeable staff.View more
Decent food overall. The oysters are exceptional. Main dishes are not perfect: cod is kind of bland while a bit overly peppered. Desserts & cocktails are delightful.View more
We had dinner as a group of 6 people & our experience was fantastic! The service is probably the best in Montreal amongst restaurants of similar calibre, the waiters/waitresses are incredibly friendly & attentive. Their oysters, black linguine, pork flank & tuna tartare are amazing. I definitely recommend it for everyone!View more
