Starting with the positives, we loved the decor & the service. The restaurant was very clean & we thought that it was well decorated: cute, fresh & modern. Really nice service. We couldn't fault it. If we had been tourists we would have been so happy to find this spot. The food was not great. Two people ordered breakfast & it looked & tasted like it had sat under the lamps for too long. The plating wasn't very exciting either. We eat out for breakfast a lot & these dishes were disappointing. One person had the chicken salad & it was the best dish at the table. The seafood guédille was fresh but had several pieces of shell (not complaining, I get it) but the coleslaw & fries were both lukewarm, not ideal in either case. The coffee was delicious!

Nous avons pu manger ici dans un contexte assez spontané, puisque le restaurant Le Sésame, situé en face, nous a informés à 20h18 que la cuisine était déjà fermée - un vendredi soir, en pleine semaine de la construction, avec des spectacles tout autour...
Ceci étant dit, très bon choix !
Nous avons partagé plusieurs plats, dont la côte de porc & les ribs : un vrai régal. Les prix étaient tout à fait raisonnables, même avec une bouteille de vin.
Un grand merci à Tristan qui nous a trouvé une place sur la terrasse pour notre groupe & pour son excellent service tout au long de la soirée.

Très bel endroit au coeur de Montréal, spacieux, agréable, avec une ambiance conviviale. Le menu est varié & bien pensé - nous avons commencé avec un tartare de saumon qui était bon.
Mention spéciale pour Tristan, qui nous a offert un service exceptionnel, professionnel & attentionné tout au long du repas.
Cependant, un point à améliorer : j'avais demandé quelle coupe de viande était servie dans le steak frites, & on m'a répondu que c'était de l'entrecôte. Malheureusement, ce n'était clairement pas le cas - la viande manquait de tendreté & de persillage, ce qui ne correspond pas à une entrecôte. Un peu plus de transparence à ce niveau serait la bienvenue, ainsi qu'une amélioration de la qualité de la viande proposée.
Je laisse tout de même 5 étoiles grâce à l'excellent service de Tristan, & je compte revenir d'ici quelques semaines pour voir si des ajustements ont été faits. Le potentiel est là !
Our first morning in Montreal we decided to give this restaurant a shot. We were not disappointed! The food was amazing. I wish Google would let me give the service more than 5 stars. Our waitress could not have been more helpful. She even gave us tips on things to see & places to try later that evening. Highly recommended!
I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant, thanks to Lim. He served us exceptionally well - always polite, professional, & attentive. Lim made sure everything was just right & checked in at the perfect times without ever being intrusive. His friendly attitude & attention to detail really stood out & made our meal even more enjoyable. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend asking for Lim if you're dining here!

Une superbe découverte ! Il y a un large choix de plats ce qui est très appréciable, & une équipe de service très souriante en particulier Krystel notre serveuse qui était très sympathique. Je recommande
Today was my last morning in Montreal. My mother recommended I check out Cochon Dingue as it's one her favourite spots. My parents are'foodies' & so is the friend I went with. The staff were warm, welcoming & the atmosphere was beautiful. The food couldn't be more perfect. I ate light, the yogurt & cranberry bread was excellent.
My friend had (my favourite) smoked salmon Eggs Benedict, he absolutely loved it. Merci for such a wonderful experience. 🙏
Nous nous sommes arrêtés juste avant la fin de service. L'équipe a été tres sympathique & a accepté notre commande. Nous avons été servis par Joris qui est très sympathique & offert un accueil chaleureux.

?We visited first for breakfast & really enjoyed it - the food was tasty, the coffee was great, & the service was wonderful. That experience made us want to return for dinner.
?? Le petit déjeuner était délicieux, le café excellent & le service chaleureux. Cela nous a donné envie de revenir pour le dîner.
?Unfortunately, dinner was disappointing. The portions were small, the flavors were mild, & at around $40 per dish, it didn't feel worth the price.
?? Malheureusement, le dîner n'a pas été à la hauteur : portions petites, saveurs fades, & prix élevé pour ce que c'était.
?One dish was labeled'XXL,' but turned out to be a very standard, small portion - which left us with a sense of unfairness. Sadly, this wasn't the only dish that felt that way.
?? Un plat était annoncé comme'XXL', mais s'est avéré être une portion tout à fait ordinaire - ce qui donne une impression d'iniquité. & ce n'était pas le seul plat dans ce cas.
?To make it worse, the service at dinner was simply poor - a big contrast from the morning.
?? En plus, le service du soir était franchement mauvais - un contraste total avec celui du matin.
?Might be worth visiting for breakfast - but we wouldn't recommend it for dinner.

Cochon Dingue is my go-to restaurant in Quebec City & Montreal! Food & service are both great, consistent among different locations (we've been to three). Food is very reasonably priced & quality is good. Service is impeccable. Breakfast is the best, but lunch & dinner also amazing.
Jaime mieux celui de Québec mais c'est quand même un super endroit. Bonne addition au quartier & il y a une option lunch le week-end quand on ne veut pas bruncher. La décoration est belle le service est bon. Je reviendrai !
Délicieux & pas banal! Nous avons partagé le Trio cochon, en entrée: 3 petites merveilles de bouchées composées d'une fondue aux trois fromages québécois sur lit de ketchup aux fruits, d'un pilon de canard sauce BBQ genre général Tao (légèrement trop sucrée à mon goût, mais le mélange des saveurs avec la chair de canard qui se défaisait à la fourchette était très réussi) & d'un gravlax de saumon aux agrumes, câpres & aneth. Si vous prenez cette entrée, je vous suggère de commencer par le gravlax pour ensuite aller vers la fondue & finir par le canard; vos papilles vont apprécier d'aller du plus acide au plus sucré. Mon amie a pris un classique steak-frites, sauce aux poivres, qu'elle a trouvé très bon, & j'ai osé le boudin noir: wow! Quelle expérience! J'ai décelé des arômes de cardamome dans le boudin (ou dans le beurre de pomme qui le nappait?) & c'était le bonheur! Avec une grande sélection de vin au verre, & un service très professionnel tout en étant décontracté, on a passé un très bon moment! Merci à toute l'équipe!
We had a lovely experience at this new Montreal location of the small Quebec City based restaurant chain, dining shortly before one of our Jazz festival performances. The menu is wonderful, highlighting Quebec sourced ingredients. The food was absolutely delicious & beautifully presented. The restaurant's decor is beautiful & very upbeat. But most important, the service is superb. Our waitress, Krystel, was so warm & helpful -- guiding us to just the right options. She even offered to brew fresh iced tea for us (which is not on the menu), which she made perfectly. We look forward to a return visit the next time we are in Montreal.
