The experience feels exclusive, you enter misguidedly on to the second floor. The decor really makes you feel like you found an hiden gem. The sushi hotdogs were by far the greatest thing on the menu. The options of sake range multiple choices to satisfy everyone. Sorry about the mess. Must try!
L'endroit est très sympa & cosy, un endroit très facilement instagramable.
On a pris 3 variétés de repas, je peut vous dire que les sushi on rien de différent ni d'extrat, j'en est goûter des meilleure.
La personne qui nous a servie était très gentil & a l'ecoute, mais le service était très long. Un samedi soir on a attendu plus de 20 min.
I rarely give bad reviews to a place but this one I had to. I went with so much expectations because of all the IG hype. But I have to say this place has below average sushis, not served with anything else like soya sauce. If you go in a group & order at different times they give for some people & make others wait for long. Not sure what made people give it a 4.5 but trust me, even the local sushi tastes way better.
The service at the restaurant was excellent; the staff was courteous & attentive throughout my visit. However, the quality of the sushi did not meet my expectations. I anticipated a more refined experience, but the rice lacked the proper texture & flavor, which significantly impacted the overall taste. Given the price point, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of the sushi's quality. For this reason, I would rate my experience a 3 out of 5
Get ready for an absolutely incredible treat! We had a night of absolutely delicious Asian food, with some heavenly matcha tiramasu, & seriously cool drinks in frog mugs :)
This place is a total gem! Their menu is packed with amazing options like sushi, poke, tartare, & so much more, plus they have an insane collection of drinks to try. & honestly, the restaurant itself is just so inviting - the vibe is awesome & the people are incredibly welcoming.
Belle soirée entre filles.. Endroit très intime d'une vingtaine de places seulement (à l'intérieur). Pour y aller, nous devons monter l'escalier sur le côté & attendre qu'on nous ouvre. Bon service attentionné, serveurs sympathiques & on nous explique bien le menu. Les sushis pressés sont à essayer. Nous avons bien aimé le ebi & le unagi. Le tartare que nous avons essayé au saumon était bien bon. L'autre au thon sera à essayer une prochaine fois. Nous avons aussi essayé les maneki-dogs. Nous étions 5 & avons partagé 4 sushis pressés, 3 maneki-dogs & un tartare. Chacune a pris un cocktail. Cela était parfait.

Found this place on IG then drove down from Ottawa for the day, did not disappoint!

Very intimate setup upstairs, Max capacity was maybe 20 guests but did not feel crammed into a room. Ambiance & music were great compliments to the main attractions.
Tried the cucumber salad, Salmon & Eel Sushi. ALL were great. Definitely will come back & try other items on menu. Too full to get to try the soft serve but will try next time.
Honnêtement les cocktails & sushis étaient très bons : bon équilibre des saveurs, surement parmi les meilleurs sushis que j'ai mangé à Montréal pour l'instant.
La salle est petite mais le thème est fun, l'ambiance sympa, un peu tamisée avec de la bonne musique pas trop forte.
Les prix sont un peu élevés mais ça me choque pas tellement.
Si j'enlève autant de points c'est parce que j'ai été super déçue du service.
On est arrivé vers 19h30, un peu avant notre réservation mais il n'y avait quasiment personne. On a pu se mettre au bar, on s'est dit que pour les cocktails ça pourrait être sympa! Pourtant, on a clairement eu le sentiment d'être invisibles. Notre commande a été prise après plusieurs tables arrivées après nous. Il a fallu demander pour prendre notre commande. Archi patiente de base, ça ne me gêne pas d'attendre un délai raisonnable, mais au bout d'un moment voir les serveuses en face de nous préparer les cocktails de tout le monde & sans une seule attention... bon.
Forcément, on a attendu pas mal de temps pour être servi... & on a même cru que nos cocktails avaient été oubliés puisque ils ont été servis bien après les plats, ce qui est assez original...notamment pour des gens placés littéralement au bar?
Vraiment, je n'avais jamais encore vécu ce genre de service à Montréal. J'ai justement pas spécialement d'attentes & suis souvent agréablement surprise par les serveurs aux petits soins & réactifs (même pendant le rush, dans des salles avec une capacité bien plus importante).
Là, le service c'était juste nous re-servir de l'eau, les plats & demander 1 fois si tout était correct. Ah oui, & puis pour l'addition nous donner le TPE & basta. Pas un au revoir ou bonne soirée quand on est parti, puisque la serveuse n'était pas là anyway :)
Je veux bien envisager que c'est inhabituel en vue des commentaires positifs sur le service, malheureusement ma note est juste le reflet de mon expérience.
Such a cute & intimate place! Drinks are lovely, mocktails in those animals glasses are fun, the sushis & maneki dogs are really good! I recommend the sake truffle sushi highly 🥰

The service at Château Maneki was good. The sushi looked beautiful & smelled very appetizing, but we were disappointed by the taste, especially considering the price ($40 for two takeout rolls). There is better sushi to be found in Montreal.
Montreal foodie vibe right here. An old Montréal ice cream shop converted into a asian fusion place.'Pressed' Sushi, Sushi hotdogs & tartare & super funny mocktails & cocktails. It's refreshing to go a innovative place that also serve fresh food. It was delicious & full of flavor. I will definitely return!
Le Château Maneki is such a hidden gem, literally! The entrance is tucked away on the side of the building behind a discreet door, & you'll need to climb a steep flight of stairs to get there. It feels a little unexpected at first, but once you're inside, the atmosphere is super cute & cozy , perfect for a casual dinner or a fun brunch outting.
The food was very tasty! There's a great variety on the menu, with more than just your usual sushi rolls. Everything we tried was fresh & flavorful. The portions are generous & definitely ideal for sharing
I also really liked the drink options, they had a good variety of cocktails, & other pairings that complemented the food well. It's clear some thought went into the menu overall.
Service was friendly & smooth, & the whole concept of the place feels unique
cute & well-executed. Definitely worth checking out!
