Reviews for Le Blossom
Ordered a range of hot & cold bits & bobs & was given a buzzer to wait for the food on a nearby table. After 20 minutes though, I went up to the desk to see what was going on & the food was just sat there, hot bits going cold & being breathed on & poked by passers by in the line. I moaned a little to the guy at the desk about the buzzer not going off & therefore waiting 20 minutes, but it wasn't that big a deal.
I was met with a rude reply from the young man at the till who did not care at all. He then became even more rude when I asked for a replacement sauce on account of it being poked by people in the line. I explained that I thought he should at least honour a small replacement sauce, given it was the restaurants pager that had failed & had been the root cause of the problem, but was met with'boo-hoo, boo-hoo, you'll have to buy another!' I don't think I've encountered such rudeness from a server anywhere in the world! Absolutely not what I expected from an Asian-inspired food counter, especially having spent over 70 dollars, including a tip that is forced upon you, despite there of course not actually being any'service' involved.
The sushi - it was beautifully presented & aside from the rice needing a touch more seasoning, it was pretty tasty & reasonably priced in my opinion (I'm from London, but I did overhear locals saying it was too expensive). The Bang Bang cauliflower & vegetable gyozas however were very bland & given the wait time, had turned cold. They definitely were not worth it (I strongly suspected frozen items, deep fried (not great for a'food market location.'
Overall, the cold food was actually good, but the service & hot food was pretty bad - both baffling to see in a location like a food market where there are about ten other very strong competitors for your luncheon cash, within about 50ft!
Best poke I've ever had, & I've had many, all over the world. All flavors go together perfectly!
Came here for lunch on April 20th 2:45 p.m. Sushi was not fresh. Rice was mushy. Gyoza cold & hard. Clearly pre-made before lunch. Not what to expect from time out market location. Pretty disappointing experience. It used to be good. Not sure what happened. There's a limit to pre-making sushi. This one was a good hour or two over that limit.
WORM in the lettuce. Buyer beware. Unapologetically worst service ever!!. This evening, I ordered 2 poke bowls, after a few bites into the poke, my daughter notices a live worm basically dancing on the lettuce. We both gagged. I returned both bowls, the server & manager both saw the live worm. I asked that both bowls be re done, but to exclude the lettuce. The manager stated she would only redo the one with the visible worm. When I stated I couldn't possibly eat the other poke bowl, as it obviously contained the lettuce from the same batch. The manager repeated she wouldn't & told me to go away, after I paid for 2 salads & had included a tip…. I would rate this place a zero star if the site allowed.
Ordered the salmon poke bowl & wow it was just so good & aesthetically pleasing. I felt like there was a lot of salmon that came with the dish & I loved the crunchy tempura bits they put in. 10/10 for me.
