About

Le Bay Ca Phe emphasizes the intricate balance of authentic Vietnamese culinary traditions paired with the modern cafe culture found in urban settings. The menu centers on meticulously prepared bowls of phở and aromatic bánh mì featuring crusty baguette rolls packed with savory proteins, pickled vegetables, and fresh herbs. A selection of robust Vietnamese coffees provides the necessary caffeine kick through rich, sweetened condensed milk profiles. The interior aesthetic prioritizes functional simplicity, creating a streamlined environment that facilitates quick service and focused consumption. Patrons interact with a concise, high-quality offering that emphasizes texture and deep, layered flavors rather than unnecessary complexity. Every component reflects a disciplined approach to preparation, ensuring consistency across every served item within this specialized space. This establishment maintains a commitment to accessible, vibrant food that remains deeply rooted in traditional Southeast Asian methodology.

Review Summary

Le Bay Ca Phe is frequently highlighted as a standout destination in Montreal for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, with many diners praising the flavorful broths of the pho, the fresh ingredients, and the high quality of the banh mi sandwiches. The atmosphere is generally described as cozy, trendy, and welcoming, making it a popular choice for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners, although some visitors note that the dining area can feel tight or noisy during peak hours. While the vast majority of feedback is overwhelmingly positive regarding the staff's attentiveness and the consistent excellence of the dishes, a few patrons have expressed mixed experiences concerning portion sizes, ingredient balance in specific items, or blandness in certain vegetarian options. Overall, the restaurant maintains a strong reputation for offering great value, delicious cocktails, and a consistent, enjoyable experience that keeps many guests returning.

Le Bay Cà Phê is our go to for Vietnamese food. It's a great restaurant to eat at, very cozy atmosphere, conveniently located & the staff is so kind.
Its my favorite pho in all of Montreal, the base broths are so flavorful. The banh me are huge & come with a side of giant shrimp chips. Give they're juices (like mango & lictchi) a try.
We often call ahead for a pick up & it's ready in 10-15 min.

WOW this place is so delicious, I'm so sad that it's not in my hometown (Toronto). As a vegetarian, it's not easy to find Vietnamese places that have options for me. But almost every dish has a protein option of fried tofu. I got tofu vermicelli & by default the fried spring rolls that come with it are vegetarian. Everything was SO delicious, & everyone I was with also loved what they got (beef pho, grilled beef vermicelli). Will definitely come back again next time I'm in Montreal! Vibe of the place was very cool & modern, & waiters were nice as well.

If you're searching for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, Pho Delight is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you step in, the warm, inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of traditional dishes, but the standout is undoubtedly their pho. The broth is rich & flavorful, simmered to perfection with aromatic spices that make every spoonful a delight. The beef slices are tender & the fresh herbs add a vibrant touch. The spring rolls are equally impressive, crisp on the outside & packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients inside. The cocktail drinks are also delightful, bright , colorful & unique flavors. Very esthetically pleasing & refreshing . Service is prompt & friendly, adding to the overall dining experience. The attention to detail in both the food & the ambiance makes it a gem in the heart of the city. Whether you're a pho aficionado or a newcomer to Vietnamese cuisine, this place is sure to impress. Highly recommend!

Delicious Vietnamese dishes in a cute & calm setting. Service was quick & friendly. We went on a Saturday night at like 6 pm & there was literally no one, but I've been other times where it was a lot busier. Will be back for sure!

I love authentic Vietnamese food, & this seemed promising from the appearance & high ratings, but it was disappointing. Worst fried rolls we've ever had. Dishes were lacking interest, & ingredient quality was sub par. Maybe use some fresh mint? Napkins were laughable, like toilet paper. Is that how you're trying to save money? I'll never forget that detail. Mayonnaise in the salad dressing is also not authentic (in my experience) & it's not a good choice. No option for leaving out fish sauce from the noodle salad dressing (partner is vegetarian) & soy sauce given as the alternative. This is a joke. Are you not making any sauces in-house? In short, the many issues here are all management decisions that could be fixed.
