Located on McGill Street, Le 409 is a contemporary Indian restaurant and lounge with a London influence.
The 409 offers a fine range of classic Indian dishes with a selection of delicious fusion creations. From traditional curries that make up vindaloo lamb to poutine with butter chicken, sit back in a warm and comfortable atmosphere in a Bollywood / Havana setting with one of our famous cocktails.

Although the lamb vindaloo was delicious, it just doesn't compare to the Indian food found in Surrey, B.C. Excellent service, but no a lot of privacy. Very cramped.View more

Friendly bilingual service, beautiful decor, & a welcoming ambiance with soft music set the perfect tone for our dining experience. We were two adults & shared 2 appetizers, 1 main dish, 2 naan breads, & 3 desserts - more than enough for a satisfying meal. Appetizers: - Bhajee d'oignons - Saumon Tikka Main Dish: - Agneau Korma + Garlic naan Desserts: - Les goulabs - Crémeux chocolat Everything was delicious, but the Crémeux chocolat was the only option I would not repeat due to its high sweetness. I recommend the Catnip cocktail, as the lavender was so refreshing! Overall, it was a delightful experience, & I look forward to returning.View more

Had a wonderful dinner with my girlfriends. The wait staff is amazing & very welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious & some of the best we've had in Montreal. We ordered naan that was out of this world. Super fluffy & flavourful Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Korma, Chana Samosa, Aloo Gobi, Palak Paneer & Rice. Everything was devoured. The food came in 15 minutes after we ordered & was hot & served in the most beautiful dishes. They also have a great non alcoholic cocktail menu & very well presented. The decor in the restaurant is also beautiful & chic. We will definitely be coming back again. The prices are very reasonable too. We each paid $62 including tips.View more

Seule remarque, les tables sont trop petites & lorsque les plats arrivent (& les verres de vin & d'eau), l'espace est insuffisant. On se sent coincé & ce n'est pas agréable. Il serait aussi plus agréable de manger dans des assiettes standards & non dans des petites assiettes à dessert. Nous y retournerons quand même.View more

This restaurant blew me away. Not only the food is superb, the ambience is fantastic, servers are great, the prices are more reasonable than any average Indian restaurant in US. We were here twice during our short stay in Montreal & it was almost like another landmark visit. We had chicken & salmon tikka, chicken 65, Rogan josh, curry, korma & naans, all of it authentic & delicious. Menu was in French but doesn't matter since everything is worth tasting. I dare Boston to come up with a place like this For me this will be a go to place whenever I visit Montreal.View more

We came for a dinner takeout on Thursday, June 27th around 9pm. We were a party of 3 + an already fussy (sleepy) 10 month old baby on a stroller. There was no way it was appropriate for us to dine in, so we came in just to inquire whether we can take out. Inside, the restaurant was about 1/3 full & there were only 2 servers & no hosts, so they were busy & hustling - we fully understand if they would prioritize the seated customers over us. But as soon as we came in, one of the servers quickly intercepted us at the door & gave us his full attention. We told him we're only going to do a takeout, if they can't take our order it's ok. The server said, "Of course, no problem! It's all ok!", & sat us at the table while he offer us the menu for our takeout order. We told him our menu choices, & he told us "Got it, give us 4 minutes." & the food really did come out in 4 mins. We got 2 naans, 1 samosa dip, 1 chicken biryani, 1 butter chicken - all packaged properly & all tasted delicious even after we took it back to the hotel. Props to the service team. We will come back from the great service alone. Props to the kitchen team for the tasty & prompt execution. We feel like the staff over at Le 409 cares & we appreciate you.View more
