Can't say enough about how amazing this restaurant, the owner John & the staff are. First the food is Delicious, different meats slow cooked on a charcoal bbq & perfectly spiced & cooked to perfection.
Not open every day so be sure to book as it is popular. Great beers, wine & cocktails & fabulous atmosphere in this family owned restaurant!!!
The brisket here is absolutely incredible super tender, juicy, & it just melts in your mouth. Honestly, one of the best I've had in a long time. I rated it 4 stars, but it really leans closer to a 4.5 when you factor in the overall quality of the food.
The only downside was the wait time. We had to wait over an hour for our food, which was a bit tough, especially since it was already late in the evening. It definitely took away from the experience a little.
That being said, the food is 100% worth trying. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but considering the portion sizes & the flavor, it's still a solid value.
If you're not in a rush & want to treat yourself to a really flavorful, well-prepared meal, I'd definitely recommend this place. Just make sure to plan ahead - a reservation is a good idea - & you'll be glad you gave it a shot.

We are visiting from Vancouver but have sampled BBQ all across the US. This place is very special & the BBQ is some of the best we've ever tasted. Please don't miss out.
I'm not entirely sure what the hype is about with this place.
The service was okay, but there were no menus - instead, the staff just listed off the available options, which felt a bit disorganized. As for the food, it left a lot to be desired. There was no sauce provided at the table for the meat, which seemed odd. The coleslaw was basically just chopped lettuce without any dressing, & the mac & cheese was dry & had a grainy texture. The baked beans were the most enjoyable part of the meal, but not enough to make me want to return.
*quick note too, the couple sitting behind us weren't even able to eat the food because they said the meat smelled off so I believe they didn't pay for anything & left...
If you're looking for a solid BBQ experience, I'd recommend checking out Fatboys in Ottawa ;)
Absolutely had a blast here! We went in around 11pm, we had three female staff & one male staff working. Our server gave us the platter to share with the different meat options & it was beyond what we were expecting (& we we went in with Hugh expectations to start with) There servers were fantastic to myself & my team throughout the night, consistent & quick with response even though they had plenty of full tables. This is my new favorite spot. I am from Ontario, & I would do the drive for a weekend just to hit this place, that is how fantastic of an impression they left on us.

Absolutely amazing BBQ! The beef brisket & beef rib were both incredible - juicy, tender, & full of smoky flavor. Easily some of the best I've had in Canada. The sides were great too, especially the baked beans & mac & cheese. Portions are generous & perfect for sharing. Great vibes, friendly staff, & worth every penny. A must-visit for any BBQ lover in Montreal!
Tried the barbecue beef & smoked chicken. The beef was quite greasy, & while flavorful, the rib's crispy edge was too hard to chew & overly salty. The smoked chicken turned out a bit dry.
Service was average - about 20 minutes wait for the order. On the bright side, the country-style background music created a relaxed & pleasant dining atmosphere. Decent experience, but not quite memorable.
This is the spot yo, absoloutely fantastic the servers were courteous & knowledgeable, the owner was awesome, & the food was absoloutely phenomenal - beef rib, brisket & chicken, sides of Mac n cheese & coleslaw. Marg was top notch. When I come back, I'm making a point to go here everytime!
Absolutely the best smoked meat I've ever had. We were visiting from Saskatchewan & came here at the advice of others that have been here as well. The food is amazing, it was the best meal we had during a 4 day stay in Montreal. The staff were pleasant & the owner is a gem of a person. Super nice guy. You HAVE to eat here!!!!

J' ai adoré mon expérience, la qualité de la viande ainsi que la saveur des chacune des choix ainsi que le concept BBQ Texas me ont émerveillé. L' un des meilleurs restaurants que j' ai visité!
Una deliciosa casualidad.
Pasaba por vieux port y de casualidad encontré este restaurante. Una carne tan rica, sabor delicioso y la carne súper suave. Sumado al excelente servicio de la chica que me atendió, si algún día la vida me trae de vuelta a esta ciudad sin duda regresaría.

Food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The smoke ring on the brisket & ribs was the biggest I've seen. Super tender meat. That beef rib was so tender & buttery!! Highly recommend the coleslaw, a nice acidic bite after the meat is refreshing. The Mack & cheese was ok but the amazing BBQ overshadows EVERYTHING. Service is a bit delayed & no one really checks in to see if you need another drink etc but again the amazing food overshadows everything.
Un incontournable pour les vrais amateurs de viande. Pour ma part la meilleure côte de boeuf que j'ai jamais mangé & que dire de la brisket. Excellent service aussi.
Very good bbq. Perhaps a notch below the best in the U.S., but very good nevertheless. There is no bbq sauce on the table, but available on the side if you request it.
