Taken together, reviews depict Lattuca Barbecue as a standout Texas style smokehouse in Montreal with generous portions and a focus on tender, smoky meats like brisket and beef ribs that many visitors consider among the best outside Texas. The sides such as mac and cheese, coleslaw, and baked beans are frequently praised for flavor, though a few comments note issues with temperature or consistency and some meat being slightly dry or overly salty. A verbally delivered menu and the absence of a fixed menu are repeatedly mentioned, along with occasional service flaws, wait times, and higher prices, especially for sharing platters. The atmosphere is described as warm, casual, and welcoming with attentive staff and a clear passion for pit cooking, drawing locals and visitors from far away who often say the experience is worth the trip. Overall, the brisket and beef ribs emerge as the standout items that keep guests returning, even as some visits remind that peak times can impact service and value.
Decent bbq considering limited options in Montreal but nothing to write home about. Took the sampler plate which was generous, best piece was the beef rib. Rest was OK at most (pulled pork, brisket, chicken). Sides were boring (beans, macNcheese, slaw - no cornbread , collard greens, etc...) Now for service, we sat outside & think the waitress forgot about us. Took forever to take our orders. Didn't clear the table when we were done. Asked for extra bbq sauce which never came. Restaurant was not packed at all. Not rude or anything, just not attentive. Overall, not a memorable experience.
Busy place! Reservations recommended. They squeezed us in at the bar. Food was good. Pulled pork just about melted in your mouth. Chicken was one of the best bbq chicken we've had.

The food is excellent. Second time I went. But the service is really average. It took us 15 minutes just to get water & have someone explain the menu to us. Then it took a whole hour to get hour food. We were sitting outside & it was someones hard to get ahold of the waitress. For two, it cost over a 100$, I expect a bit of a better service.

The food is really good, the meat platter with everything is so worth it. The service was ok, it felt like they don't care much since they serve tourists, it's not like the place was that big. The washroom's garbage can was overflowing with brown paper; it would have been very hard for the staff to miss it. First greeting was in English, then French, which should be the opposite in Québec.
