LaTorteria is praised for bringing Mexican-style sushi to Montreal, with favorites like Aguachile and the norteño, and some note that a plantain dish is promised and diners will return to try it. The tacos receive high marks for flavor compared with many places in town, with al pastor described as tender and flavorful, though one comment suggests trimming the pineapple in the pastor tacos for easier eating. The spot is described as cute and the food as amazing, with pineapple that is fresh and juicy and dishes that remind some diners of Mexico. The torta cubana with pork is highlighted as a big, delicious sandwich, and horchata plus other dishes are praised for generous portions and presentation. Some reviews call it a hidden gem and among the best tacos ever, while a few note a recent dip in meat freshness and hope for a return to earlier quality. Overall, the reviews emphasize authentic flavors, friendly staff, generous servings, and a memorable experience at LaTorteria.
Los primeros en traer el sushi estilo mexicano a Montreal. Recomiendo el de Aguachile y el norteno. Prometieron agregra el de platanito y volveremos para comprobarlo.
The tacos were quite good. Especially compared to many other places in town where flavor is often lacking. They could do a bit better for example by cutting the pineapple in the pastor tacos because the whole slice is a pain to eat, but tbh their tacos are good!

Délicieux leurs plats très généreux & bien présentées. Un restaurant à encourager sans doute !
