Vous trouverez L'Ambroisie et L'Espace Canal dans la cour intérieure du Château St-Ambroise, un bâtiment classé patrimoine historique, situé sur le bord du Canal Lachine dans le quartier St-Henri à Montréal. À seulement quelques minutes du centre-ville, le restaurant accueille une clientèle d'affaires et des groupes d'amis dans un atmosphère décontracté. Chef propriétaire Stuart Abrams, vous invite à découvrir son établissement, réputé pour ses terrasses et ses salles de réception élégantes.

I just had my wedding at L'Espace Canal last weekend, & what an incredible experience! From planning the event with the venue coordinator, Alexa, to the flexibility with menu creation with chef Stuart, the communication & coordination was so professional & seamless. We also had an amazing day of experience because of Jaime, Tony, Jonathan, & Rohit. We are filled with gratitude that the whole team made our wedding so memorable & perfect!!!! We got so many compliments from our guests on the food, drinks, & service.

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but our venue made the process so much easier & genuinely enjoyable! From start to finish, they were an absolute joy to work with. Their team was not only accommodating & flexible with all our requests, but they also brought such a positive, fun energy that helped me feel much more relaxed throughout. We had our wedding at L'Espace Canal this past weekend & I am so glad that we chose this venue! First, L'Espace canal is absolutely beautiful. Second, our venue coordinator (Alexandra) & the L'Ambroisie/L'Espace Canal chefs & staff were fantastic throughout the entire engagement/planning process. The venue worked closely with us to customize a Southern Food buffet station to reflect my Georgia (USA) roots. They were open to suggested recipe changes, & the food turned out great - our guests were raving! Alexandra did an amazing job setting up the decorations & coordinating the arrival of other vendors. I did not have to worry about a thing on my wedding day - everything was beautiful & set up exactly to my specifications. During the wedding, the staff & bartenders were very professional & attentive to both us as bride & groom, as well as our guests. Our wedding was at L'Espace Canal was an absolute dream. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at L'Espace Canal, & we couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we started planning, our coordinator Dietrich took care of every detail with such professionalism & care. The venue itself is stunning, with its charming ambiance & beautiful views of the canal providing the perfect backdrop for our special day. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish, the food & service was exceptional. Overall, L'Ambroisie & L'Espace Canal exceeded all our expectations, & we are so grateful to Dietrich & the entire team for making our wedding day so memorable. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a perfect place to tie the knot.

Recently had our wedding at L'Ambrosie. Simply put, outstanding. The day of the wedding , everything went extremely well, excellent service, great waiter, waitress, bartender. Food was perfectly prepared. Kitchen was on time & on the ball. Kudos to all :) Ambiance was so smooth. We booked String musicians for the service outside & had a guitarist /vocalist play at cocktail hour on terrace before going in to the dinning room Alexandra was great to deal with on setting up prior. Calm answering questions & resolving issues. Day of the event , Amber & Constance were a joy to deal with . Would easily recommend for those planning a wedding . Hands down 5 Stars

We had our wedding here in May 2024 & had the loveliest time. The venue was beautiful & several guests mentioned how good the food was. Service was incredible, Amber & her staff were amazing. Dietrich did a great job coordinating the ceremony & everything else. Alexa was super helpful throughout the planning even though she was on maternity leave. Alexandra was very nice & helpful when we were planning & going for our tasting. Price was very reasonable considering all the things that were included & the turnkey package allowed us to customize & include exactly what we wanted.

We were married at l'ambroisie in April 2024. With about 75 dinner guests, salle l'ambroisie was the perfect size for us. Our coordinators Alexandra & Constance were great. They were helpful during the planning process & the wedding day. We gave them all our decorations with a description of how we wanted it set up, & they put everything together perfectly. We received so many compliments from the guests, they really loved the venue & the food. We had asked for some adjustments during our tasting & they were taken into account. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The wedding package also includes the cost of a DJ. We were assigned DJ big Daddy who did a fantastic job. Our wedding day was wonderful. Also, the cost is fairly reasonable considering the location of the venue, & services included.

The pluses: I don’t think you can find a better spot in downtown Montreal with those prices. The venue is beautiful, I loved the arch, they’re very turnkey & espace canal is super pretty & can really look great with minimal effort. Alex was great to work with & hustled during the wedding to make sure everything was great. The menu was adapted for vegetarians & vegans & food was delicious. The bartenders were super sweet as well as were all the waiters.
The minuses: we had issues with our first coordinator which caused quite a lot of stress, there was issues with figuring out who would take over, the communication can mostly only be done by email (not phone really) & you have to be very very proactive in order to make sure everything is organized. But if you are organized & will write them & follow up a lot, everything should go smoothly.
Summary: I think it’s definitely a steal for a spot in the city, if you like a more urban vibe. I really enjoyed my night tremendously. The planning was a bit rough around the edges but I think it makes sense with the pricing.

If you're looking for the perfect wedding venue I highly suggest L'Ambroisie restaurant. They are very accommodating, staff is super friendly, our guests loved the food. The event coordinator, Alexandra is quick to reply & will answer every & all questions you have throughout your time planning. She is amazing & was so helpful in this process. I never had to stress with anything about the venue & that's all because of how confident I felt with Alexandra.
You have 3 options where you can do your ceremony. Inside the restaurant, outside in the terrace, or outside in their beautiful garden.
Again, if you're looking for an amazing place to hold your ceremony & reception then Restaurant L'Ambroisie is the place to do it!!

When planning our wedding, my husband & I (American) were looking for a destination wedding. We chose Montreal based on its European flair, & stopped by L'Ambroisie on a whim after reading a review. On that first day, Kevin sat down with us & gave us the personalized visit we had been missing at the other venues. He answered our questions, & didn't pressure us into committing. After looking at other venues, we decided on L'Ambroisie. From there, Nathalie answered all my questions, even the crazy ones, with rapid response. There were no "packages" no uniform choices. It really was the only venue we visited that encouraged us to have a personalized wedding. On the actual wedding day, the staff was incredible. They were all complete professionals & the wedding went off better than we ever dreamed. We were both relaxed, happy, & actually enjoying our day. Everything that was promised to us from the first meeting came true & more. The food was fabulous, the DJ was fabulous & everyone had such positive feedback. The staff even navigated the event through a rain shower mid-ceremony. I really cannot say enough positive things about my wedding experience. Thank you all at L'Ambroisie!
