Lali's is a small casual hole in the wall offering flavorful loaded sandwiches at a reasonable price.
The baguette-style bread is crispy & light, making it the perfect vehicle for a cheesy, saucy, & moist filling.
The buffalo chicken melt is excellent, not too spicy & filled with big chunks of juicy chicken. The chopped cheese is also good & the integration of cheese through the chopped beef kept it moist.
The chili bean loaded fries was a wonderful surprise & may be the highlight of our meal. The chili is packed with flavor & slow cooked until the beef is crumbly
All in all, we had a wonderful experience at Lali's & will be coming back to try their other sandwiches.
Ordered the montreal smoked meat sandwich & it might have been the best thing I've eaten all year! Price is reasonable for the size & taste of this sandwich.
Delicious & large sandwiches at fair prices! The owner is very friendly & the food is always made with love. I think this place definitely deserves a try!

Good food counter. The sandwich was pretty big(& heavy) & the price was good. I was gladly surprised. Will be eating there regularly. I should had taken a samosa
Tried the mexican, Hawaiian & the chili cheese hot dogs. While they are messy to eat they're super tasty & the price/quantity ratio is AMAZING. Will definitely come back & recommend to friends in the future 😊🌭
Discovered this small family-owned place serving sandwiches & pizza a couple of months ago & I've gone back several times since. Everything I've tried so far was great & the portions were very generous for the price. The hot dogs are huge & have to be the equivalent of ~3 regular steamies, & the other sandwiches are about as big. You can get an 8 or 10-inch pizza. Many vegetarian options too. It's definitely a hidden gem (...in plain sight, on Crescent). Highly recommended!
(P.S. If I may suggest one thing, to be a true Chicago hot dog, it should come with pickles & hot peppers instead of cucumbers, but their version is good too!)
Edit: if I remember correctly, the bandari & tofu sandwiches & the two burgers aren't being served since taking the menu photos.
Wow, what a gem of a place. I tried this spot on a whim & am so glad I did. I got their chilli hot dog. It's so big it's the Great Dane of hot dogs! It was delicious & humongous. That too at the price they are selling, it almost seems unreal.
Also, I had a great chat with the gentleman who runs the place, Mr. Ehsan. He was so friendly & genuine. Even threw a drink on the house. I'll be back soon.
