Chocolate product looked like it had melted & solidified a few too many times. I get the charm of the place & would consider going again for charcuterie & cheese, but this is not great
The difference between hired help & entrepreneur led. The owner Paul is amazing. Hands on. The type of place that used to be normal in the 50's & 60's. I wish more places remained old school. Old school market grocery. Fabulous food from around the world & met the owner who was not only handsome but very hospitable. To capture the local flavor, this is a must stop on your way to the famous Schwartz's!
I love this place, as a special individual, I find so much joy in seeing the tons of jarred fish, tin fish, fermented fish, fresh fish, frozen fish & dried fish a store may offer. The sweets, bulks of coffee beans & fresh italian sandwiches are also incredible, I guess...
A very Nice European Deli with a wide Range of Hard to Find delicacies! Like St. Agur Blue Cheese( BEST PRICE IN TOWN!) & fantastic Codiments!! Also has Wonderful BBQ SAUCES! LIKE MIKES MUSTARD TRUFFLE(FANTASTIC!) HERE I WAS ABLE TO FIND A COUPLE LOW# BOTTLES OUT OF A 800 LIMITED PRODUCTION RUN #23 & #52! THESE ARE ALMOST! IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND & TODAY I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY FIND A #790!!( from somewhere else).THE EARLY ONES ARE VERY DIFFERENT(lighter)FROM THE MID RUN & END RUN?? DON'T KNOW YET!
