Good ambiance, welcoming vibes. The staff were attentive & efficient. The food is good especially the vongole pasta! We loved the selection of wines that perfectly can pair any dish at the restaurant. Will be coming back surely.
Came here for a friends birthday & so happy we came here!
Started off with the Caesar salad & the potatoes as our appetizers. Caesar salad had a lot of anchovies, so it was very fishy! No problem with that, still very enjoyable. Potatoes lacked flavour, could've used more seasoning.
Rigatoni alla vodka was okay, didn't taste like your average vodka rosé sauce, lacked flavour & had a fishy undertone. Pasta was also very al dente! Overall, average.
Tiramisu was incredible! & La Spada made it so special for my friend's birthday.
Service was very very good! Kevin was super accommodating & kind. & the atmosphere was so cozy & intimate.
Came here with some friends for dinner & it was nice! Food was good, I did find there was too much dressing on the ceasar salad, I Would recommend maybe asking the dressing on the side. The focaccia served with the buratta was extremely oily as well, when you ripped a piece apart oil would actually drip off it.
The two pastas were good, tartare was very good (my favourite item of the night), but the bread it was served with was a bit weird.
Overall a nice dinner, but definitely on the pricier side for relatively basic food.
Most of the pastas are around $34 + & not a big portion considering it's just pasta.. same thing for the ceasar, the portion was quite small. They do grate fresh Parmesan & pepper on the pasta which is a nice touch.
It has a nice ambiance inside, service was very good & staff was attentive to come & fill our water glasses & offer more drinks when they were empty. Restaurant was fairly lively & loud inside too! If you want a quiet spot it would not be here.
La Spada checks every box-beautiful, vibrant interiors, a thoughtfully curated menu, & truly exceptional service.
Coming from NYC, it was refreshing to dine at a restaurant that encourages you to enjoy the evening at your own pace. The staff was patient, attentive, & genuinely warm, making us feel welcome from start to finish. The food wasn't rushed & every dish was executed with care. Even the drink recommendations were spot-on & complemented the meal perfectly.
Our favorites were the Supplì, Carciofi, & the pastas-the pork rigatoni, alla vodka, & the zucchini pesto spaghetti were all delicious.
Despite being packed & buzzing on a Friday night, La Spada made the entire experience feel seamless & special. & a bonus: the valet parking is a lifesaver.
This was easily the worst restaurant meal we have ever had. I take no pleasure in leaving bad review, but wow. The cocktails were nothing to brag home about, either (especially not for $20 a drink!). We both had the pasta of the week, which were $38/person for 3 stuffed shells with ricotta. The'sauce' it came with was essentially water with an extreme amount of salt. To top it off, it was served with almost raw, unseasoned radicchio that did not compliment the meal. The portion size was not remotely enough, either. I understand that for some of the plates, the idea is to take a few & share, but we are two small women who left this restaurant almost $150 lighter & still hungry. We overheard the table next to us sending the food back because of the salt level & poor seasoning, so we were clearly not the only disappointed customers. As for service, not once were our water glasses refilled in the 1.5hours we were there. I imagine this restaurant's hype is through social media & bought 5-star reviews.
Another good Italian restaurant. The food is delicious, from flavorful pastas to perfectly cooked chicken.
La Spada delivers an upscale Italian dining experience with exceptional attention to detail.
From the moment we walked in, our experience at La Spada was exceptional. Every detail was thoughtfully executed-from the beautiful décor & warm atmosphere to the impeccable service. The staff was incredibly attentive throughout the evening, making sure our table had everything we needed while making us feel genuinely welcomed & appreciated. The owner was present & actively involved in the restaurant, which added such a personal touch & really showed how much they care about the guest experience.
We were a group, so we had the opportunity to try a variety of dishes, & every single one was outstanding. The Caesar salad special was one of the best I've ever had, & the homemade focaccia was absolute perfection. The mushroom pasta was rich & full of flavor, the branzino was cooked beautifully, & everything else we ordered was equally impressive.
As someone with a serious sweet tooth, dessert is always a big deal for me, & La Spada absolutely delivered. The Ferrero Rocher ball-a giant, house-made take on the classic chocolate-was both original & incredibly delicious. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
La Spada has mastered every aspect of the dining experience. We left already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!
My husband & I went to La Spada a couple of years ago when it first opened & liked it a lot, but hadnt been back since until this past weekend. It was such a great experience to revisit the restaurant- their food is even better than I remembered. We especially liked the pannacotta with olive oil & honeycomb (sooo good - sweet, salty, creamy, crunchy) & the octopus salad with potatoes (warm, a little smoky, octopus was perfectly cooked!). Their foccacia is also delicious & spongy. We thought that the crudo was a bit underseasoned, & personally I found the pasta to be a bit too fishy. But overall the food was great.
The drinks were also really good: we ordered two spritzes at the start of the meal (I had the Spada spritz & my husband had the more herbaceous one) & we ended the dinner with two amaros, selected by the bartender, which we both enjoyed.
Another good Italian restaurant. We were a group of 8. We all enjoyed the appetizers as well as the main course. The only recommendation wld be good if they cld add one or more pasta to the menu ..
They were nice offering a nice dessert with a candle to our graduates …
The espresso martinis & tiramisu were the only outstanding bites/sips of the night unfortunately… The restaurant is beautiful & they have a nice selection of wine but we were quite underwhelmed by the plates even though they came with a beautiful presentation. Nothing really stood out & for the price… we've had a lot better. We had to send back the pasta as the dish itself was hot & the pasta very cold, hard & not saucy. The service was very slow & sometimes a little rude.
